Liked: Nice little resort-style camp. Bungalows are spacious, only four beds to a dorm. Table tennis, swimming pool - both excellent and free! Shuttle bus to get you in to town is handy as it's about 30mins walk in. Free breakfast (toast and spreads) and all day tea and coffee both handy. And tv room is pretty decent, like a little cinema with a good selection of films. Hot showers too.

Disliked: No locks on the door (well advertised and seems to be same for all 1770 hostels) which is a bit of a concern but you can store things behind desk if you are worried. Toilet was pretty grim in the rooms, and the floor was also quite dirty.

Liked: good to have a pool, relaxed atmosphere

Disliked: shuttle didnt run regularly enough and its too far to walk so often had to wait around for ages, free breakfast was disappointing - just a lump of bread a couple of spreads - always ran out early. guy on reception was unwelcoming and they try and get all the money out of you they can - check out is 9am and if you want to stay that day you have to pay an extra $5. total rip off!

Liked: This is a great hostel to stay at in Agnes Waters. It is a 5 minutes bus ride out of town but they provide a shuttle service for guests which runs every hour and was always on time when we needed to use it. The hostel is on big grounds and is more like a resort. The staff were great, rely chilled out and the hostel was so relaxed which suited us perfectly. I would definitely recommend staying here when you come to Agnes Waters - there really is not much to do in town here anyway so you wont want to spending your nights hitting the town because there isnt one so the bar at hostel is perfect and when u buy a drink on tuesdays you get free sausage sizzle! We had a double room which looked more like a hotel room than the hostel rooms we have been used to - it was very clean and had ensuite and telly and they have tons of free dvds you can choose from to watch in your room. This hostel was quiet and we had no problem with noise or other people staying there. The kitchen is small but it was never very busy when we wanted to use it.

Disliked: The only thing that I disliked about the hostel is that is is keyless so you can access anyones room and they can access yours. There is a safe which you can put your things in behind the desk. I personaly didnt find this a problem and always padlock my suitcase when i go out for safety anyway.

Liked: It has a chilled atmosphere. Lassiz faire atitude, which suits my personality.

Disliked: I didn't like, that there weren't any locks on the doors to the dorms. Only from inside.

Liked: Great location in lovely surroundings but if you want to sleep dont stay here. Guests yelled and sang very loudly until late and the matress was incredibly thin and uncomfortable. To their credit, though, when we went and complained both problems were quickly rectified.

Liked: Hostel has a lot of character! Amazing collection of dvds for free! Big plasma tv, pingpong table, pool table etc... Best place so far in Oz.

Liked: A lot of space everywhere, great common rooms (kitchen, living room with many places to eat, a pool, pingpong table, TV corner), very clean, nice swimming pool, dorms with only 3 people, but a bit far from the city center (should extend the hours of the shuttle bus which begins at 10 only and finshes around 19). Cheap surf lessons at 16 or 18 dollars

Liked: it was very great time in this hostel, the best hostel i've ever been!!I REALLY enjoyed everythingthe bungalows were great, the chinese bungalow also, everything was great, i couldnt write down anything that wasnt great, really well done!!
