The people, the free breakfast, the free internet, the free fryday dinner. I was feeling like if I was in a shared flat with friends.

Location very handy, staff nice but most didn't seemed geared up for backpacker queries (they were based in the bar/pokie room downstairs)

complementary breakfast, coffee etc, ability to store luggage in the bar room until 4pm, proximity to tram/bus, staff were helpful and reasonable (our double room was not available, so the charge was reduced)

Only stayed the night, but was a nice hostel with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Situated right above a bar/casino, but surprisingly was comfortable, clean and quiet. Had I stayed in Adelaide longer, I won't have minded staying at Tatt's. Close to the main mall area and bus and train stations.

Extensive kitchen with free pasta, rice, bread, juice, milk, washer, and the hostel is within walking distance of everything you would want to do in Adelaide.
