Visiting Adelaide, stay at the beach!!
‘Glenelg Beach Hostel’ provides quality backpacker accommodation at Adelaide's premiere beach. Centrally located in the fun Glenelg Beach area in Adelaide, we are only meters from the beach, many bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, a cinema and museums.
Being very close to transport, a short tram ride takes you into the busy centre of Adelaide featuring the famous central markets, great bands and entertainment, museums and art galleries. We are also an ideal home base while you explore some of Adelaide’s wineries, beaches and the outback!
We are situated in a Heritage building named Alexander Terrace which was built in 1878. We offer dormitory style accommodation and a range of private rooms. All bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds with quilts (no bunk beds.) Free continental breakfast is provided as well as 24hr tea/coffee. We have a fully equipped communal kitchen, laundry facilities, 24hr TV/DVD room, Internet and tour booking facilities. Newly renovated lounge bar with drink specials, DJ's and huge beergarden for relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying a pint of Adelaide's favorite Pale Ale!
Directions / How to find your hostel
From the AIRPORT catch the J1 shuttle service for a few dollars, this will bring you to our hostel within 25mins. From the CITY CENTER & FRANKLIN ST BUS TERMINAL catch the tram anywhere along King William Road or Victoria Square and this will bring you to the heart of Glenelg in 20mins. The tram runs every 15mins and we are 1min walk from the last stop in Glenelg. From KESWICK TRAIN STATION catch the 167 or 168 bus from the main road.
