Liked: It's one of the best hostels in Argentina! It's really a great and confortable house, full of places where you can be alone if you want, or make parties if you want. They have all we need : good information, very good rooms, cheap laudry service, two big kitchens... it was really a nice choice. In Ushuaia, i will be there, fore sure!!!!

Disliked: It is far from the downtown. So, if you wanna go shopping or just walk on the port area, you need to walk 25min or pay a taxi (18-20pesos). Its not thaaaat bad, cause you can go walking in a very beautiful landscape.

Liked: Staff were super helpful, recommended an excellent boat trip on the Beagle Channel, and really went out of their waynto make sure you were well looked after. Even though our room was right in the main hallway it was quiet at night. Very clean and felt very secure, with a really good kitchen.

Disliked: 2 things - firstly a little far out of town, and secondly, breakfast was stated to be from 8am to 10am, on the rules of the house it was quite firm that no exceptions would be made. We stayed 6 nights and it was late on at least 2 occasions, which is strange given that most hostels we have stayed at have provided breakfast much earlier than 8am.

Liked: Everything Emile Smidt said below is true. Plus some of the staff members here are very experienced traveller themselves - they know what a traveller is looking for. All the staff members knows this beautiful little town by heart, especially Luke, if you have any questions just talk to him.

Disliked: I really liked the location since it is in walking distance from the airport or downtown [25 minutes top]. This might be challenging for some people. all I can say is...Rock On! \m/,

Liked: Its a quiet, peaceful and homey hostel. Its not a lot of rush or partying and is good for a few days chill time. The staff are fantastic and always willing to help out and very friendly. The provision of lockers and a key for it to be locked is good. And the two kitchens are great - especially if there is a line up to cook up. The breakfast is fine - the usual argentine affair with medialunas and coffee/tea.

Disliked: Only a few gripes with this hostel. The first being that it is quite a distance from in town (30 minute walk) but the upside is you don't have the busy streets of the city keeping you up. But there are supermercados 10 minutes up the road and a general store across the street. Secondly, powdered milk at breakfast. But I guess thats the case sometimes. It does lack a bit of social atmosphere - but if you want a quiet time in 'fin del mundo' then its great.

Liked: Laundry service - basically for free if you have washing puder

Disliked: hostel is WAY to far away from the center. if you don't want to walk 25min you need a cab for 5USD each way

Liked: Good staff, spacious dorm, 2 kitchens, washing machine

Disliked: distance to center of city (half hour walk, to far for quick things ... you have to plan), guests were really to them selfs ... most of the times saying good morning was too difficult. I think it selecs a certain type of traveller being farther away from the center ... very good if that's what you want ... but not for me.

Liked: Fantastic staff, who are on hand to help with bookings, reservations and recommendations - they really made our stay.

Disliked: The communal showers are a bit of a shock for the price of our double room - just booths with a shower curtain rather than individual bathrooms.

Liked: I would highly recommend La Posta hostel, great facilities, TWO very well equipped kitchens which is rare and such a great, laid back, family vibe its almost infectuous where everyone cleans after themselves which is rare. After about a year of travelling in South America only a few hostels stand out and La Posta is one of them. Lucas is passionate about his home town and the mountains and consequently is very knowledgeable and so was his mom Miriam and the always smiling Flo. Very clean, quiet, great music and pretty good breakfast. Muchos gracias por todo.

Liked: Washing machine, huge space 2 kitchen, super friendly staff... Booked for 2 nights and stayed a week!

Liked: Two great kitchens for use, enough space to sit and also 2 computers for use and fast Wifi. Enough showers and toilets all clean.

Disliked: It´s far from the center: 30 minutes walk. Not a problem with nice weather but still far. Taxi is 15 pesos.

Liked: Was a very nice hostel- great facilities & breakfast. Double rooms were hotel standard really with cleaning service every day etc. Staff were really nice and helpful.

Disliked: Was just too far from town for the price... if you stay a taxi ride away from the centre (no buses at all at night- not many during the day) you kind of expect to pay less but actually you pay as much as in the centre.

Liked: Two good kitchens and space to eat. And the cheap laundry facilities was a real bonus.

Disliked: It was far too warm - all heaters were on. There was nowhere really to change/put clothes in shower rooms.

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and came out with us on our last night there (go hugo!!). The hostel was also very clean and well serviced, and the laundry room was a godsend and the kitchens were well stocked.

Disliked: No more Lady Gaga Hugo!! :) breakfast ran short on quantity and there we no oven mits, but these are small things, no major problems

Liked: The hostel is very quiet and there is a lot of tours on offer. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is good.

Disliked: Its a bit far away from town, but close to the airport. The internet is really slow (but Hey, youre at the end of the world ;) )

Liked: laundry machine for guest use!!! Really helpful staff and 2 kitchens so plenty of room for everyone to cook.

Disliked: It was a bit out of town, I wales to town mostly but took about 25 minutes.
