Liked: The location is really good. Only 2 blocks from the seafront. Staff were friendly however I didn´t like how the guy came to change the bin in our room at 9:30 every morning when we were still sleeping and didn´t knock on the door. The showers are a bit hit and miss. Apart from that it was a good place to stay, the library is really nice to hang out in.

Liked: The staff are really friendly and you can make yourself a good meal in the kitchen. Also the staff knows about everything you can find in the area so you wont get lost..I would say, if your staying in Ushuaia do it here!

Liked: This place is how a hostel should be, warm, cosy, friendly, homely, clean, perfect for the cold of Ushuaia. Very clean and well run by Luca who is very helpful with information on the surrounding area. Definitely recommend it

Liked: the staff were great and really helpful, you can book any tour or transport there and they will always give u advice. There was a great party while we were there! can get really cold in the rooms at night time, and the bathrooms are not the cleanest, it would be a gorgeous hostel if it was just kept a bit better. but we had a great time there!

Liked: Cruz del Sur is a very cosy, well located hostel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The library is a nice place to hang out after a day´s trekking and the kitchen is well equipped, if a little small. It is also nice that you can catch the bus to Parque Nacional Tierra Del Fuego directly from the hostel. It also has a good bakery next door - result!There is one glaring problem with the hostel though - security! There is no-one on the door between 12-8am and guests use a code to get in. This is all well and good until someone staying there goes a bit mental and the (extremely well meaning) staff can´t get them out! The owner needs to sort this out!
