Liked: Facilities awesome. Always clean and tidy. Very warm!

Disliked: Great kitchen facilities but a tad small given the hostels popularity.

Liked: Very nice and helpful staff. Really clean rooms and toilets/showers.

Disliked: No proper locks on the lockers, had to buy my own lock. Never felt like something was going to get stolen though - and nothing did get stolen...

Liked: good location right in centre of town. Great breakfast - brown and white toast, eggs, oranges, drinks. Clean and tidy. Great common room with fantastic views. wifi

Disliked: computers were pay only (though free wifi). small kitchen

Disliked: Unfriendly staff, light in one toilet had a timer of about 10 seconds, dirtty kitchen, computers to pay, wifi only next to the reception, no atmosphere as it is too big

Liked: the place is well mantained in terms of cleanliness. mattresses are good

Disliked: The staff are arrogant and in many times stupid causing sometimes room transfers. i learnt that sometimes it is more important than the physical conditions. smoke in or right next to shared spaces. i wouldnt book there again

Liked: The staff were helpful, the cleanliness is great and the TV room and top floor common area are among the best in South America.

Disliked: The kitchen is awful. The hostel is really performing well in all other aspects of service, but the kitchen is small, run down and lacking in decent equipment.

Liked: Nice hostel. Good location, right in the center. The commun area is also very nice.

Disliked: One of the staffs (blondie girl) was not very helpful, and gave me wrong information about the buses. All the others were great! The shower is not very good. You have to pay for internet, but it´s not expensive.

Disliked: Not very social at all. Room was boiling hot all the time. Extremely loud hostel, very hard to sleep after big days of hiking!!!!

Liked: This place is awesome! I ended up staying for 12 days!! The staff are very helpful. Everyone is treated very well and the place has a family atmosphere. Breakfast includes eggs and there is tea/coffee/mate/hot chocolate available all the time for free. great common areas - tv room is very comfortable with many movies on offer and the common area on top of the hostel has virtually a 360 view of Ushuaia. An incident i had was dealt with very professionally which included getting a doctor to the hostel within 20min at no cost to me. I highly recommend this place. Book ahead as they are always having to turn people away. PS the New Years party was awesome!!

Liked: Great modern facilities in part, nice rooms with views, underfloor heating. A good vibe in general, easy to meet people. TV room is a bonus, also a very nice space upstairs. Location is good perched up high in the city centre for nice views. Good solid beds and bedding. Communal bathroom facilities are modern and adequate.

Disliked: Staff are at best ok to deal with, at times downright rude, impatient and uninterested. The hostel seems to be keen to make a quick buck wherever possible rather than putting the guest's interests first. In part facilities are lacking - the kitchen is far too small for the size of the hostel, and the dining area is also cramped. The space upstairs is unique for a backpackers, unfortunately for us the fact that smoking is allowed up there was enough to put us off spending any time in it. Very backwards for a modern hostel in our opinion. Cigarette smoke also drifts inside the lobby area from smokers in the main doorway.

Liked: Friendly staff who knew the place. In fact they were way more helpful than the tourist office. Good facilities (laundry, kitchen etc). Good place to meet people if your outgoing otherwise you might be intimidated cause it is a rather big hostel.

Liked: Very clean and nice bathrooms, central location and free coffee and tea all day long

Disliked: The italian guy at the reception is quite arrogant; the bracelets they give you at the entrance to recognize you as guests, make you feel as in a "all inclusive resort", smoking in the chill out area destroys the pleasure of the marvaillous view on the bay

Liked: This is a large, new-looking, well-run hostel located within walking distance to pretty much everything in central Ushuaia, including the bus station, tour operators, museums and many shops and restaurants. There is always someone at the front desk and they are excellent at helping you book a tour, arrange for transportation, eat out or order in food. The kitchen area is large enough for serious cooking and they have two washers and dryers in the laundry room so you can do your laundry there. There are several floors to this property – the entire top floor is a huge lounge/game room with a great view of the water. On the second floor there’s large comfortable TV room with widescreen TV. The first floor has the kitchen/dining area where you can buy beer and use the internet-enabled computers for a small fee. The rooms are nice with large lockers, crisp linens and clean, upscale bathrooms.

Disliked: Nothing! I would stay there again.

Liked: Everyone has different experiences with staff and other guests but in terms off the premises and what they offer, its about as good as you'll get in south america. Very clean, modern (including heated floors), awesome breakfast, a list of activities within the ushuaia region, two good communal spaces and good bathrooms with excellent showers. Considering the above and the fact that ushuaia is such a remote place and a big tourist destination, the rates you pay for dorms is very reasonable.
