Hostel Tinktinkie

Andrey and Nelieta welcome you to Hostel Tinktinkie. We opened our Hostel in 2009 and are still brand new! We are also proud to announce that we have recently been endorsed by TripAdvisor. Hostel Tinktinkie is situated in the country side in the beautiful Calamuchita Valley. We are only 80kms from Cordoba city and en-route to Mendoza, Rio Cuarto, Alta Gracia and Cordoba. With only 300m to the Santa Rosa River you can quickly go for a swim or relax at the 'beach'.

We are a hostel with a difference. Hostel Tinktinkie is not a big city hostel. We take pride in our environent and play an active role to protect our nature. Andrey is an excellent chef and he likes to cook a mixture of the Russian, South African and Argentinean food.

There are a lot of opportunities for hiking, sightseeing and relaxing. In the evening you can visit the nightclub and mingle with the local people. Or why not rent bicycles and explore the country side? We can also arrange for horse riding.

Our rooms are very spacious, new and modern. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and hot water 24/7. Bedding and linen are included.People cannot believe how bright the stars are. The view of the mountains are magnificent.

Breakfast consists of Facturas and Medialunas or eggs, sausages and bread...you choose!

Our common room is fully equipped for cooking, an LCD monitor for watching movies and a large library of DVD's and books.We also have a book exchange. It also has a fire place for those cold winter nights.

Everything in our hostel was made by local people. We pride ourselves in the fact that we support our local community.

We speak English, Spanish, Russian and Afrikaans as well as a little German and Dutch.

Accommodation Information

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot showers 24/7. We are very flexible in terms of our rooms and can cater for special needs. For example, should you need a double bed and 2 single beds in a room, we will gladly oblige.

Rooms are equipped with a small kitchen to make coffee, tea or mate.

Location Information

Santa Rosa De Calamuchita is +/-80km's from Córdoba Capital. If you like nature, rivers, lakes, mountains, sunshine and spectacular sunsets, then this is the place to be! People like to come here to get away from the stress and noise in the city.
