Liked: Nice place, spacious, quiet, safe and clean. Friendly staff. Excursions offered (nice alternative to touristic tours offered by agencies in the city centre). Location still good, aprox. 10 min walking distance to reach the main street and the lake.

Disliked: I liked everything, no complaints! Maybe just one thing: Would be helpful to offer the single room option on www.hostelbookers.com.

Liked: Dorms and common rooms nice and spacious, spotlessly clean - felt like home away from home! Santiago was a good host, no issues with overstaying check-out time, and he even gave me a lift to the bus station!

Disliked: Nada

Liked: The hostel was clean and safe. The common area was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Also, it is close to hiking areas, which is nice.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The hostel is fantastic! Great rooms with heated floor and hot showers! Everything is so clean! The kitchen is nice and so are the social areas. You can play table tennis, ps2 and even basketball! There are big lockers and even a security system to get into the hostel. Staff and owner were great! It is fun and the best place to stay in San Martin for sure.

Disliked: The hostel is a few squares away from the main street, but everything is so close and it is so nice to walk around that it didnt bother at all! Fantastis hostel!

Liked: It was really clean and the owner gave us a private room when we only paid for a dorm. He was super helpful also

Liked: Really good communcal spaces, very friendly and helpful staff, really comfortable rooms with lovely underfloor heating :-)

Disliked: It's too far from the bus station to walk with all your bags. But taxis are cheap so it's ok!

Liked: Nice welcome, quiet and clean. Contrary to what other people have said, we found the staff to be perfectly friendly and helpful. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and were extremely happy with our meals. Also, small detail, but we did get towels and a little bar of soap (this website currently reports that there is a small charge for towels). Internet worked well. More of a budget hotel than a hostel -- there's a kitchen but didn't seem like a great place to meet people. Floors were heated!

Disliked: There are more central locations and it seemed a bit expensive for what we got (yes, the place has simple white walls) but that could just be SM de los Andes.

Liked: Friendly staff. Nice beds in 4 bed dorms. Heated floors, Huge common space. Giant kitchen. Ping pong table comes with ping pong professional in tow.

Disliked: Not much to complain about. About 8 blocks from the plaza, but that's about all I can come up with.

Liked: While I stayed there in March, there where not so many other guests - so it was kind of calm. Though, I talked quite a bit with them and the staff - so I had a good time. The kitchen was big and the bathrooms really nice. It was great that the staff prepared breakfast very early in the morning (5.30), because we needed to catch a bus.

Disliked: nothing

Liked: The kitchen is well stocked and clean - plus they compost which is awesome. The hosts were very friendly and helpful (although no english is spoken). They arranged to have coffee (real not instant) ready for us when they found our we were leaving very early. Good lounge areas - good social spaces...which turned out to be a bad thing.

Disliked: The location is a little out of the way in a noisy neighbourhood. The rooms are bare and almost feel not-quite-done. There was a large group of people when we were there and they were partying in the echoey common room and kept us up all night. Nobody from the hotel seemed to do anything about the noise that kept many of us up until just 2 hours before our alarm bells.

Liked: - Santiago is the nicest, most genuine hostel owner out of the ~30 we've met. He drove us to the bus station, he invited us to dinner with his friends, and when I was sick he did some sort of mental focus thing to heal me. - Clean and fairly new building and rooms. - Spacious.

Disliked: - The atmosphere is stark. Big white walls, plain furniture, large but empty feeling common room and bedrooms.

Liked: The location is a ten minute walk from the bus station, so not the most central but i personally oved the location, in a quiet residential area. The main common room is full of comfy seating and things to do, and the kitchen is really big and clean. The staff are lovely.

Disliked: The property is currently being renovated on the top level, and it has a strange hotel-like feel. There was hardly anyone there when i was there so it felt very empty, so not a great atmosphere. The lockers in the room are very flimsy.

Liked: The owners were wonderful and created a great atmosphere! They had a pizza party during our stay for the guests and their friends. The owner cooked 14 home made pizzas for everyone! It was very nice.

Liked: The staff was really friendly! We had to take a 6 am bus to Pucon, Chile and he got up at 5 am to make us coffee and breakfast which was so nice of him!Great little town we weren´t there for long so I can´t say much about the atmosphere, it was really quiet. The facilities were nice, safe, spacious and recently renovated.

Disliked: Kate left no negative feedback.

Liked: I will recommend everybody this hostel! It was very clean, homelike, with a big kitchen, the room was clean and spacios, the staff was kind and attentive, they helped with excursions, explain everything! It was like a home stay!
