Liked: Good value for money, clean and friendly staff, though they mostly do not speak english which can be a problem for most travellers. But then again, very few people in Salta actually do speak English, even those trying to sell you tours or claiming to be an english speaking guide...

Disliked: Its a bit of a walk to the city center, and it can be a bit noisy with other travellers...

Liked: It was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and they were very helpful with planning my time there without pushing too hard for a specific tour or company.

Disliked: It didnt have many events planned to facilitate meeting new people and I was travelling alone. Hostels I have stayed in which have something going on every night have made it much easier to meet others.

Liked: the beds were clean and the staff was kind of helpfull

Disliked: the toilet was never clean and you could not decide how much breakfast you wantet - you just had a plate of very dry bread and got to choose between a couple of hot drinks.

Liked: We liked this hostel so much that we extended our stay to 9 nights, its the best hostel we have stayed in, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were very very clean and the BBQ´s were really delicious

Liked: Nice, clean rooms. Great bbq night where we met some other travellers, ate loads of steak, drank lots of wine etc. 3 computers that are free to use to surf the net.

Disliked: The city was going through a heat wave so the rooms were pretty hot and sticky. We had a fan but it didn't do much use. There were also quite a few bugs in the shared bathroom, just moths & mosquitoes though.

Liked: Arrived to the place and had the best night.Joined in in a BBQ which was the best we have had for some time, including a nice wine.Then we went out for my birthday!! And came back late in the night, still everybody was very friendly.

Disliked: The sheets on the bed came of everytime we just turned around:(

Liked: Everyone made us feel welcome and the room was very clean. We booked a double but because we are traveling with our three year old daughter they gave us a triple. She shares our bed but the extra room was great. This is not a party hostel but we met some very nice fellow travellers and they have a nice area to sit out talk and eat.

Disliked: It is a bit of walk to town but we did it no problems with our daughter

Liked: Pleasant enough place, nice little courtyards and garden. Decent showers. Good breakfast area, better than the actual breakfast. Clean rooms and good bathrooms. Making an effort to improve the place too.

Disliked: Bedding was not the best a bit worn and old. Staff could not speak much english, only basics really.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, nice garden area. Showed all world cup games on a big screen. Rooms w/o bathroom have communal area in front of them so can be noisy. Overall a good hostel!

Liked: The two ladies at reception are exceptionally helpful and very encouraging if you are trying to speak Spanish. They also let us check in at 9am after an overnight bus and take breakfast at no extra cost. The outdoor courtyard is great to enjoy breakfast int he sun or dinner with other travellers. Ping-pong in the lounge area was always fun too. We were able to use the asado grill with no hassles from staff. The private room is eceptionally good value.

Liked: We had only booked in one night but happy to stay on here. Staff very helpful and friendly. Loads of excursions on offer. Price is really good, we booked in to a twin room cause it was cheaper than the double but we have double bed and single in room. Free internet and wifi. Great area to sit outside and massive kitchen area and place to chill in the evenings.Location is 5blocks from centre but walkable. Taxis are so cheap too, def recommend this hostel. Met loads of really nice people.

Liked: Nice clean hostel with a large outdoor area to relax. WiFi even works in the room which is a first in South America! They even gave us breakfast when we arrived while waiting for our room to be ready. Great asado night on saturday. Pillows could be better though.

Liked: Great BBQ on Saturday night, heaps of food and wine with entertainment too. Great way to meet everyone at the hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful even with language barriers and the room was clean and comfortable. No complaints.

Liked: They offer barbequed steak sandwiches everynight and put on a large barby with show twice a week. The garden area is very social. It was very clean. The staff speak little English so be prepared. Also the kitchen isn't well equiped enough for the number of guests. Overall would recommend it.

Liked: Staff are very helpful and welcoming, almost like being part of the family. Wednesday night is Asado night which is great value for food, drinks and entertainment. The hostel is about 10 blocks from the main square which is about a 15 minute walk but is a great way to see the city. Good hostel with decent facilities.

Liked: Wow - a rare gem of a place - friendly, great bbq's, great activities/tours (do the horse riding - dont do the lake its not what it looks like in the brochure) Have a ball and meet great people!

Liked: It was fine but not great. Breakfast was pretty poor and there were very few `services` ie had to share a computer with the hostel staff.

Liked: Great place to stay! The staff are really helpful and friendly. The hostel itself is lovely too, with nice rooms, wifi and a kitchen. It's about 10 or 11 blocks from the main plaza, but it's easily walkable in 10 mins. And the same for the bus station. Had an amazing time at their brilliant asado - highly recommended!
