Property description / Overview of facilities
Chimbas is a hostel unlike any other in Mendoza.
We offer an urban oasis in a true Mendocino neighborhood, just minutes by taxi or bus from all major points of interest in the city.
Ours is a lovely Mediterranean style house with all the fixings for a truly relaxing stay.
Offering seven private rooms, six of which boast private in-room bathrooms and cable TV, we truly understand the travelers’ need for privacy and a good nights rest.
For groups, or those flying solo, we have one dormitory room with four beds.
Enjoy coffee and tea in the garden patio as you wake up and welcome the day. Take a dip in the pool (it is already full !). Uncork a bottle of Malbec in the large and well-equipped kitchen while you whip up something delightful to eat.
During winter months, cozy up in the common areas and have a mate. Be good to yourself. This is Mendoza, Argentina, after all, the land of sun and wine.
We are a small and savvy staff who, being locals, can bring the city and surrounding areas to you whether it’s trying handcrafted beers in the center, dancing a milonga in the plaza, horseback riding in the countryside, or wine tasting in the vineyards.
We know Mendoza and we are dedicated to making your stay with us a peaceful and memorable one, no matter how you choose to spend your time

Our Breakfast: coffee, tea, mate, home made bread, butter, jam, and dulce de leche.
We organize excursions such as: winery tours, trips to the Andes and Aconcagua, river rafting, horseback riding, trekking, paragliding, hot springs, and many other exciting ventures.
Directions / How to find your hostel
Cobos (n°92) & Acceso Este, Mendoza.
Chimbas is located very close to the bus terminal, and 10 blocks from San martin Av.
To arrive by foot:
1.- Head to Platform number 1.
2.- Leave the Terminal, and you will find Alberdi St.
3.- Turn right onto Alberdi St., crossing under the highway (Acceso Este).
4.- Turn left onto Acceso Este (the small street that runs parallel to the highway). Follow this to Cobos Street, which is the first intersection you will come to.
