I booked and paid a 4 dorm and they wanted to put me in a 5 dorm. As I complained they put me in a 4 dorm in which I was alone. So it was the price worth.

The staff are nice and helpful. And the swimming pool is a lovely extra. Its not a luxury hostel, and the kitchen was a bit small. But all in all, good value for the money

The location is awesome - on a bar-lined street and generally where you want to be; the staff are very helpful, especially before we even arrived - Pablo in particular; the restaurant and bar outside is great, but NOISY! The pool is also a huge bonus, especially for those Mendoza-hot days, although if your dorm room is nearby, sorry for you ... There are lockers in the rooms. Bathrooms are good, shower pressure adequate. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this hostel.

The guys that work at Itaka are incredeibly nice and exceedingly helpful. I never had a second thought about the security of my things. The laidback atmosphere really helps you relax. I can´t really say enough about the location or the quality of the guys working there.

Itaka Hostel was a brilliant place to stay. Amazing location on the road where all the bars are, a great bar in the hostel itself, amazing staff and brilliant people staying there. We met loads of other people who we will stay in touch with and the guys at the hostel went out of their way to take us out and help us plan days out. Home baked bread for breakfast - all in all a brilliant place. I would highly recommend it.

It was a very comfortable hostel which had very good facilities. Although a friend left two messages and they were not passed on to myself. The friend also left a message and my camera and staff did not notify me that my friend had left me something valuable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostel is also very clean. It is very welcoming and feels like home.

I met a lot of cool people there and the staff were friendly.
I liked the fact that the bar was just right in front of the hostel, too.
Besides that, there was a pool and a pingpong table. On Saturday, they had a band playing in the back yard. Can't go wrong!
