Liked: Lovely place, nice kitchen, close to shops/supermarkets, nice place to meet people. Hostel is very helpful if you need any help regarding the wineary tours or any other excursions. Breakfast good very basic, rooms nice with space and free internet/lockers which was a bonus. If i was to come back again i would book this hostel.

Disliked: Make sure you get the exact location when you arrive, we arrived at the bus station early hours of the morning and it took us at 2 hours to find the hostel, once we arrived we wasn´t allowed to check in early but was allowed to use the internet and all facilities which was a bonus to waste time but was a very tiring day!

Liked: Good location, good breakfast. Fast wifi that worked throughout the hostel. Friendly staff, especially Alejandro who helped us plan our stay. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook. Nice garden with tiny pool but still good on the hot days!

Disliked: Nice laid back vibe but not much of a social aspect.

Liked: This hostel has very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, lockers, free internet, breakfast included, common spaces - everything you could want from a hostel!

Liked: Good location for central Mendoza. Staff friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Not clean. Kitchen is filthy, bedrooms are basically clean but sheets really old. Also far too noisy. Noisy guests return late but the staff do not tell them to keep quiet and themselves had the TV loud early in the morning. Windows don´t close properly so you hear all central Mendoza traffic. Impossible to sleep. Warning to other travellers (not linked to this hostel) there is a Dutch guy in Mendoza pretending to be Belgian and that he has been mugged and had everything stolen - he tells you this to encourage you to give him 100 Pesos. He is a fraud and lives in Mendoza for 3 years - he targets backpackers so watch out (you find him in central Mendoza, not near this hostel)

Liked: Nice and homely feeling with good kitchen, a small pool in the garden and a nice sitting area inside. Was quiet at night and our double room had a good sized bathroom and was clean. The staff are helpful and there is nice, friendly atmosphere in the hostel. Good location for the centre of town and also to catch the bus to the wineries.

Disliked: The kitchen drawers could do with a clean but with so many people using it that is expected. It is also a decent walk to the 'trendy' part of Mendoza with all the bars, we got a taxi back at night,

Liked: The place is clean and the rooms are big. The hostel offers a lot of services like excursions and the staff helped a lot with touristic information.

Disliked: There was a problem with the booking: We had booked a double room and it was occupied so we were reallocated to a dorm for one night. They charged us the right prize, though, and the second night we had our double room.

Liked: Friendly atmosphere with nice living room to hang out and meet you friends after a fun day biking around the wineries in nearby Maipu. The property is only 5 mins walk to bus stop where you can catch bus to the wineries. It is also in very close proximity to the main center and a short walk from the bus station.

Disliked: The pool is sadly very much out of action.

Liked: Very cozy, its impossible not to meet other travelers. Not a party hostel but a very good spot to relax in the back yard and enjoy a bottle or two of the excellent wines available in Mendoza.

Disliked: The pool needs a good cleaning. Rooms are a little small for 8 beds and could use some new pillows.

Liked: The hostel has a very homely feel, especially as you get toast and amazing jam and a range of hot drinks but not much else for breakfast. The kitchen has a microwave too, which has always been a luxury in south america! It has a pretty outside space and a swimming pool, more ornamental than anything. The location is ok, about 15 minutes walk from the bus station and about 10 blocks from the centre. Big lockable lockers. Good terrace to hang washing out to dry. The homely feel makes it a good place to meet people. Very fast internet, only wish I had arranged a few skype dates.

Disliked: The beds are slightly uncomfy and very squeeky especially getting up to the top bunk which always sounded like the bunk was going to collapse. The staff were quite stand-off-ish and made you feel a little uncomfortable but they could be helpful at times too. There were two showers and toilets for 12 people, which could sometimes be a problem and one of the doors didnt have a lock on.

Liked: The Hostel is good. Is near the supermarket and bank. The recepcionistes were very friendlies. And is possible eat berbacue in the Hostel Estación Mendoza.I recommend visit Estacion Mendoza

Liked: We had a horrible experience here. They asked us to move out all our stuff and switch rooms 2 times during the 3 nights we stayed there, first because there was no hot water to our first room then because the heater was broken and it was freezing in the second room. Our third room on the third day was filthy.There was no hot water for a whole day, and the staff told me that there was hot water and kept telling me to just try different showers. I tried three different showers on two different floors and ended up taking a freezing shower in the winter. After all this, they offered us an insultingly low discount of 7% off. I insisted that they take off more money but they would only take another 3% off and were careful to give us only the exact change required, so we were stuck with 0.9 pesos that we couldn´t exchange. My traveling partner who stayed in the 8 person dorm was not even offered a discount for the entire day without hot water.

Liked: The rooms are big - but HOT!! With 2 fans for 8 people, chances are you will be sweating all night long. There was something in the sheets too - I spent the whole night itching (as did another girl we talked to the next day who ended up going outside and sleeping) - no bites in the morning but it felt like bed bugs....It is also pretty far away from anything good - the main restaurant street is a good 15 blocks away (and they are reasonably big blocks)

Liked: I wasn´t very impressed with this place. The rooms were tiny and the lock on the locker was broken. After check-out on the day I was moving on I had to keep my bag in a small cabinet, that also had no lock and was accessable to everyone. The staff friendliness varied widely depending on who was on duty. The one´s that didn´t speak any English were the friendliest and most helpful. Upon arrival I was shown my bed and given sheets and a towel I had to make the bed myself (which I don´t mind) and was not shown around. I wasn´t shown around or explained anything (like breakfast timings, what facilities there are to use, what time I have to check out....) Rooms had no reading lamps so when someone stayed up late reading or got up early everyone had to wake up. The pool seemed a little filthy. One my check out day I was told: "You pay now!" although it was still early (around 9:30 hrs) and I had to bring down the sheets myself. The girl checking me out was asking for a different (higher) amount than there was on my confirmation so after a little argueing I paid the amount that had been confirmed but she seemed very upset about this. Sure there are better hostels in Mendoza.

Liked: We arrived early off the bus, it was in a good location from the bus station, a do-able 10min walk which was good. We couldnt check in until 12 which was fine so we put our bags somewhere safe. We then sat in the living area, which was fine, the hostel seemed to be from what we saw (only the downstairs!) to be nice, well kept and clean. Free wifi and a pool out the back.About an hour later the young woman working there that delt with everyone came and told us we could not stay there and had to go somewhere else. It was literally that abrupt and uncaring. She showed us somewhere else on a map that was very far out of town. She did not apologise once, and didn't seem to care much about the situation she had put us in. We explained we did not want to stay in that location. She then walked off and brought us another leaflet, a hostel closer to town which we accepted reluctantly as there was nowhere online we could see with availability for the current day, it being a weekend, and we now appeared to have nowhere to stay! We then got our bags, and I asked for our deposit back which she silently and reluctantly gave us. If we had not asked for it, we would not have got it. From the moment we walked in everyone was very cold and unfriendly which is a huge shame as the place looked fine and I'm sure you could stay there and it'd be fine but we were hugely disappointed with their treatment and lack of care to their guests. Hope you have a better experience than us if you stay here!

Liked: only 10 minutes from the bus station so easy to walk to. Gaby and the other girls made us feel very welcome although we were only staying for 1 night. The only problem was we booked a 4-bed dorm but the hostel only has 8-bed dorms (and ours was full of ignorant Aussie 20 somethings who thought that by whispering when packing at 6am, we wouldn't hear them). That apart, I would recommend this hostel to anyone.
