Liked: The bed were long enough. Shower was decent when there was warm water. WC didn't run out of toilet paper. Free towel. If you like to spend your nights either doing or listening to other people do sleazy pickup lines to female travelers or you just enjoy either being drunk or listening to drunken people just outside your window, this is the place for you!

Disliked: As mentioned, this is not a nice and quiet hostel. The common area is basically a bar where the going keeps on going until 5 am. Staff isn't even trying to keep it down, they are the DJ's for those night parties. Rooms can and are like hot saunas with minimal A/C, you'll wake up in a pool of sweat even if you turn the A/C to max because most likely someone turned the whole machine off because it blows right to his/her face. So you're either freezing or sweating. Rooms are stuffed and there is no good place to hang out since the common area is a bar. And you can't bring or drink your own beer here, just the expensive bar drinks. Staff speaks only minimal English. I guess that's enough. Three skulls, avoid at all costs!

Liked: Great location next to the main square, staff is friendly and breakfast is above average with oven baked buns and croissants

Disliked: Showers were always cold. Dormrooms are very small and the door to ours, which is in the kitchen, did not close properly such that we could listen to the fridge humming all night as well as other travellers staying out late. A girl left the hostel because of bedbugs.

Liked: If you want to stay in a party hostel and don't really care about where you lay your head, this is the place for you. The staff were friendly and the location was very good - I am struggling for other good points.

Disliked: The communal areas are basically an extension of the ridiculously priced bar so if you want to relax - forget it. The dorms are dark, pokey and the sheets smelled bad and are worn. We didn't do any of their tours because on hearing reports from other backpackers, they got less that they expected and the prices were crazy. Didn't enjoy staying here at all and moved to another hostel asap.

Liked: Really helpful staff that made my stay feel a little more like home. Lots of things organised so good if your travelling on your own to meet people.

Disliked: Some dorms are large and can get crapt if full so if you like your space book a smaller one.

Liked: I like that even though its so cheap its clean and close to the center. The kitchen is clean. The people who work there are really nice. My booking wasnt in their computer but i still got the same price with my deposit.

Liked: Awesome location, great place to meet people, good common areas. Niko is the best!

Disliked: We arrived early in the morning (6am) and couldn't check-in til 12, which is understandable but the staff on duty wasn't very welcoming or helpful. Our room wasn't ready until 1pm so we had to wait around even longer. It seemed as though there was only one person cleaning the entire hostel-a huge task! So it took a long time for things to get clean. Also, the offered activities were WAY overpriced, not at all priced for backpackers. Our wine and bike tour was about half the price of the hostel's, and included more.

Liked: I liked the free dinners and the wide variety of excursions that they offered. The location was also very good and central.

Disliked: The beds were very uncomfortable and my room did not have air conditioning and was extremely hot so that it was pretty hard to fall asleep. The hostel was pretty quiet, and did not have as good (open, inviting, fun, friendly) a vibe as most other hostels i've seen. I spent some time at Backpackers in Mendoza and it seemed to have a much more fun and dynamic atmosphere- at least at the time I was there.

Liked: good location. friendly staff. plenty of opportunities to meet people from the our HI hostels in the area.

Disliked: the kitchen was not well-stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls or glasses. The breakfast situation was the same. people waiting for mugs or bowls or teaspoons.

Liked: This is a fantastic hostel and helped make my trip great. Great people stay here-- I met fun, friendly people from all over the world. There are always people hanging out till all hours of the night, so especially great place to stay if you're travelling alone or want to meet people. The hostel staff rocked-- super friendly, fun, helpful. The condition of the building is a little run down, but par for the course with hostels. Someone had their camera stolen, so be careful and lock your valuables. The hostel runs great trips and tours. All in all, one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!!!
