Liked: a lot of movies

Disliked: Not really good ambiance.

Liked: Rooms were clean and there were individual lockers big enough to hold all luggage. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and tours booked through the hostel were great. Near a big supermarket.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: great place to meet people and very friendly staff. good breakfast, they actually had more than white bread! We really enjoyed the 500 DVD collection.

Disliked: loud and party hostel. Had bad sleep the first two nights. Dont stay in the four bed dorm because it is right next to reception and doesnt have a full door so you can hear everything. In order to get good sleep we had to make sure to sleep between 1am and 7am...otherwise it was too loud. Use ear plugs and it is great!

Liked: NIce size dorms with good size lockers and air con. General atmosphere is good, and breakfast is decent - one of the few places we have found brown bread! Nice roof terrace. Wine tour was good, especially as included in the 3 night deal!

Disliked: Nothing really.

Liked: We had a private room which had its own heater and had room for 2 other people in it. Free wine tour offer was excellent.

Disliked: The kitchen itself was nice but not very big if other people were cooking and not a lot of equipment/ utensils.

Liked: We really liked this place. The hostel staff really are great, the kitchen was good and the cleaning lady never seemed to stop! They were decorating when we left so should be even nicer when finished. The free voucher for Mr Hugo was an unexpected bonus because we had already heard so many good things about Mr Hugo before getting to Mendoza.

Disliked: The location was not the best but I am being picky - it was 15mins walk to the main plaza. I thought charging 20 pesos for use of showers after check out AND 20 pesos for use of the kitchen after check out was a bit tight and something we haven't encountered anywhere else in S.America.

Liked: Friendly staff, great kitchen, nice terrace (although we didn't use it because it's too cold in Mendoza right now!). Nice friendly atmosphere. We booked a great winery tour through them too.

Liked: The staff is extremely helpful and can assist you in arranging a variety of activities. There is a great vibe at this hostel that is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious too with big lockers for your stuff.

Disliked: Nothing. All was great!

Liked: Everything! The staff were just so helpful--Javier, Damien and the others helped us with everything (directions to the wineries, calling cabs for us, calling the bus station, etc). The entire hostel was cleaned every day so it was never dirty. The kitchen was big and well-equipped. Breakfast was descent with bread, cereal, juice, coffee, tea and homemade jam. The lockers were secure and they even had a very extensive DVD collection! The promotion going on now was great--free bike for the wine tours if you stay 3 or more days. We stayed at Lagares for 8 nights and enjoyed every minute of it!

Disliked: Cant think of anything I disliked.

Liked: The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Nice, quiet hostel with a large, well equipped kitchen.

Disliked: If I were travelling alone, I would not want to walk back to the hostel at night.

Liked: Beds were good and warm

Disliked: there was a miscommunication about my booking and i ended up having no where to stay on my last night and no rooms free n the whole city. So this altered my opinion on the hostel greatly.

Liked: Exceptionally honest and friendly staff. It didn't feel like they were after your money but they genuinely wanted you to enjoy yourself and to help you, which is perhaps the most important thing for a hostel. Lugares was very clean, good bathrooms, decent breakfast and kitchen, good facilities, excellent value for money. One of the cheapest in Mendoza and possibly the best, we even got a free wine tour. Arguably one of the best in South America.

Liked: Was pretty quiet while I was there, but nice palce to chill out. Lovely staff, filling breakfast. Ended up staying 5 nights.

Disliked: Bit of a walk from the bus station and into town, but it's down the main street to get to the square so not unpleasant.

Liked: The manager is always really freindly and it is a nice cosy hostel where you can feel at home. Nice communal area to meet people, clean and relaxed. The freindly staff make this place and the breakfast is not bad also.

Disliked: Only dislike was that my roo was in the basement which was very dark and a bit hard to walk up/down the steps with your stuff.

Liked: Lockers that could take your whole bag. The mattress was very comfy. Friendly, helpful stuff.

Disliked: Tiny kitchen, dirty bathrooms. Hardly any water pressure so you had to shower under a dribble of water.

Liked: They have got a huge collection of DVDS so if you are suffering with a wine hangover you can chill and watch movies.

Disliked: Showers could have been more powerful, i am scraping the barrel for something bad to say but there really isnt anything!

Liked: I liked the large kitchen, and the good speed of internet access. The hostel also has a phenomenal collection of DVDs.

Disliked: I disliked the few number of bathrooms.

Liked: The staff were accommidating on the day that we arrived as our bus was early,getting there at 5am. Check in was at 12 however they were able to get the room cleaned and get us in by 10am, as we had not yet slept. Much appreciated. It was also very secure.

Disliked: The issue with the private bathroom not being private at all. As it was right outisde our door we could hear everytime it was used by the entire hostel as the door would slam and the fan was noisy. We had to wait to use it as well. The room was also adjoining the courtyard and no curfew was imposed on the noise made by people using the courtyard. It was very loud at times keeping us awake.
