Liked: Very friendly staff! Very quiet neighbourhood; fantastic beds; aircondition was nice; breakfast was more than custom in Argentina. It didn´t have the usual hostel atmosphere, which was good. Though the B&B is not in the center, it is well within walking distance; which is pleasant because off the pavements all covered by trees. Also the busstop linea 2 is nearby, which goes directly to the center and then to the busterminal. We got a Tarjeto Magnetico for the busses from the B&B. So in a nutshell: do you want to have a nice stay in Mendoza, go to B&B Varietalos!

Liked: After being traveling for several years and staying in different hostels, once I found Los Varietales B&B I felt at home. I received Santa and the new year 2012 there: homely, friendly and enthusiastic staff. Clean, well kept kitchen ; facilities for cooking and a free super breakfast. Mariana was a great host. I would highly recommend it.

Liked: A nice enough place to stay if you are completly independant or stuck for accomodation and are looking to find your own way about, or have booked it with and agent/tour company, and are going to eat out a lot. Unfortunately it rained when we were there making it seem more dour. and the corridor for the rooms is very loud when it rains. The breakfast is nice with a good spread but it is definately a B&B. The rooms are cleaned daily and well maintained. If you want the very quiet life then this is for you.

Disliked: This isn't a place to socialise at all. There is little atmosphere and you can't make your own meals without a rather large list of do's and don'ts, in fact they prefer you not to cook at all it seems. The staff can vary between lovely and completely miserable individuals. It is a significant walk to any part of town that you would consider nice, as the area seems quite residential. It's more like a package tour place.

Liked: This property is safe and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and English was spoken by two members of staff. The breakfast was without a doubt, the best breakfast that I have been offered throughout 6 weeks of travelling here. The staff will also arrange tours for you.

Disliked: I didnt mind the location, as I enjoyed the walk and it felt like a safe area of town. However, you should bear in mind that the hotel is 15 minutes walk from centre of town. They have WI FI, but I am not travelling with my iphone. But, the staff let you use their computer.

Liked: Its location, nice and quiet, its nice sala and dining room, and its clean and nicely decorated rooms. And a great shower in a nice bathroom.

Liked: the owner is amazing. She personally woke me up in the morning when i overslept and had to be at the airport!! so helpful and so kind. It's also such a cute B&B and the price is really unbeatable.

Liked: Lovely, helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble, It's a really nice b&b - the room was comfortable and very clean, plus it was so quiet at night I slept like a baby! The breakfast was really good too. Felt like we were staying in a family home as the atmosphere was so welcoming.

Disliked: Shaky wifi connection (no computers available for use). Wouldn't be ideal for lone travellers as they're private rooms and not as sociable as a hostel.

Liked: Mariana, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful. Although the internet is not listed as being available she allowed me to the use of the B+B computer. It is a B+B and not a hostel as such which, for a short time, was a pleasant change.

Liked: best breakfast I've had in Argentina! (After 6 weeks) Very nice, friendly and helpfull staff. Great place for couples. Included towels which is not necessary, but Very convenient.

Disliked: WiFi available, but only in commun areas, not in our room. Thin walls really had to keep your voice down.

Liked: Very quiet place, clean and safe area, a little bit far off the city center, but still perfectly walking distance. Staff is extremely friendly

Disliked: Could be a little bit more comfy in the outside areas, like the roof top is not used at all would be perfect for some hammocks and chairs... otherwhise ok

Liked: Really lovely and helpful staff - let us make a call for free when we were having problems with Aerolineas Airlines (do not fly with them!) Excellent breakfast including cereal, brown bread (!), cheese and ham.

Disliked: Internet in the rooms is a bit slow.

Liked: The room was clean, but very dark (the window gave onto a patio that was always covered). It's about 15 min walking to the center (so not the most central hostel you can get).

Liked: Nice and friendly people at the reception. Location is ok and in walking distance to the citycentre approx 5-10 minutes.Very helpfull to advise and also book daytrips in and around Mendoza.We booked a trip to two wineyards and a full day trip High Andes which gave an excellent visit to the Andes via the reception.I would book here again on next occasion! Dick,Rita and Anne (our daughter) from the Netherlands!

Liked: THe owner recommended excellent activities and also helped us arrange tours and car rental. She made sure that we had whatever we needed at all times. Laundry was done at a very reasonable price. Breakfasts were great with a wide variety of foods to choose from.

Liked: More a B&B than a hostel which was lovely to have a private room. Great breakfast with heaps of choice, helpful staff and nice touches to show they care about the place. A slight walk into town, but in a nice area so not too bad. Very helpful in organising tours and English spoken very well.

Liked: Nice B&B - agree with comments below that rooms not insulated so you hear everything but my room had a real double bed and very comfortable, and the shower-wet room had space for towel, toiletry bag, etc and the pressure-water was perfect...no complaints from me.It is located 5-7 blocks from the main square and a bit less to many restaurants - all easy and safe walking distance. You do though need to come prepared with essentials like water, as kiosks aren°t nearby.The staff were fantastic - friendly and informative.Depending of the mix of travellers, its a nice place to meet people.

Liked: The staff are very helpful and the reception area and lounge room are very nice but the rooms are terrible.They do not have any noise insulation from each other and there is no natural light as they close a roof which covers the area outside the rooms at night. But the worst thing is that the double beds are not doubles, they're just a tiny bit bigger than a single - there is no room for anything bigger. The bathroom is tiny and does not have enough room to hang up a towel so it does not get wet when using the useless shower whose temperature fluctuates wildly during use.The place is 15 minutes from town which is fine the first few times but tiring after a while.
