Liked: Very comfortable relaxed setup, felt like sitting around your kitchen table with friends having dinner. And Astor alone is worth the trip (hostels resident german shepard). Very generous with breakfast and helpful staff and owners as well. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Liked: Felt like a home and the owners Mike and Celeste are magic!Pool is also pretty good.

Liked: Lovely building, secluded garden, helpful staff, friendly dog.Definitely recommend paying a bit more for the more expensive dorms upstairs though, the one downstairs was grotty (bathroom filthy). All else good.

Liked: One of the best hostels Ive stayed at so far in South America. Clean, safe and the owners cant do enough to help you. I ended up staying a week!

Liked: The free wine was a lovely touch, the owners were so so friendly and helpful and always willing to do more than necessary to help out in any way. The living areas (note the plural!! - huge kitchen. dining room, three sitting room areas and hammocks/pool in the lovely garden) were all beautifully decorated, spacious and warm ... it felt like being in a home rather than in a grotty hostel. It is by far the nicest hostel we have experienced - and we have experienced many having travelled for 3 months around South America.
