In a lovely farm, on the Esquel-Trevelin route (259) and close to Los Alerces national park, lies a beautiful tourist complex designed for nature loving people: a hostel surrounded with water canals and camping site on both sides of our creek.

Los Pollitos is designed to serve people like you: travelers who want to travel around for a few days and have a cozy home to come back to, meet other travelers, or just enjoy the calmness of the place and the surrounding views and atmosphere of the Patagonian Andes.

We offer you a chance to travel off the beaten track, and get to know a lesser-known part of Patagonia. A variety of things to see and do are available, some of which are easily done independently and some of which we can help you organize.

Los Pollitos offers either dorm or camping options. There is a fully equipped kitchen, shower with hot water 24 hours a day and toilet facilities, the famous El Gallinero Bar in which you can eat your dinner, have a drink and enjoy tango lessons, folklore dances or other activities. In the hot summer days you can rest next to the swimming pool with a cold beer or an ice-cream.

The camping site is located around our beautiful stream and each tent gets a stove (fogón), light and electricity socket. There is a kiosk to buy groceries and wood or coals for the stoves.

Accommodation Information

Our cozy dormitories have 4 to 8 beds overlooking the great Patagonian Andes.
Each dorm has a private bathroom with hot water 24/7 and a daily cleaning service.

Location Information

Los Pollitos Hostel & camping is situated in a ranch, 3 Km from the Welsh colony of Trevelin, on the main road going south from Bariloche to the Futaleufu border crossing (Esquel-Trevelin route 259). It’s roughly a 4 hour bus ride from Bariloche and just 24Km from Esquel.
