Liked: Really homely little place. Sebastian the owner is great. Probably the comfiest place we have stayed so far.

Disliked: No breakfast.More expensive than anywhere else we have stayed but to be fair el chalten is a bit more expensive for everything

Liked: Very clean, comfortable. Great atmosphere. Sebastian was very helpful in describing trails, getting transfers as necessary, etc. What looks like really recently renovated bathrooms and showers downstairs. Good location -- right off the main drag in El Chalten (try the bakery across from the blue supermarket!), ~10-15 minute walk to the key trail heads.

Disliked: A little difficult to find (the street it is on is not labeled), stove is temperamental .

Liked: Great host, friendly and very helpful. Always around for a laugh.Great kitchen facilities, and great location.

Disliked: WIFI is poor, but from what I heard from the grapvine, WIFI is a bit scarce around the whole town. To be honest, its not really a big setback, you come here for the nature.

Liked: we booked for 2 nights, but the weather was good for hiking so Sebastian allowed as to stay the 2nd night just 3 days later, very flexibel and helpful. the kitchen is good and everything really clean

Disliked: the hostel does not really have wifi, but dont expect it somewhere else in chalten, it is just not possible. just keep in mind that you will be offline for a few days

Liked: The hostel had great common areas and hands down the best showers ever. I also really enjoyed the giant selection of live concerts on dvds. Owner was very chilled out and helpful as well.

Liked: A great hostel: comfortable dorms, a good common area, and a good kitchen. The owner, Sebastian, was very helpful -- giving us detailed weather forecasts and helping us decide which treks to do on which days to make the most of the likely weather while we were in El Chaltén: we were very grateful for his advice.

Disliked: There are no lockers, but at the same time, it's not the most likely place for thievery. There's not much in the way of power points in the dorm rooms (there was only one in ours), but there are some in the common areas, so you can charge your gear up there instead.
