Liked: Clean rooms, good beds

Disliked: Very small kitchen, wifi not working most of the time, far from the center. View on lake does not compensate distance.

Liked: the staff ist extraordinariely friendly and helpful, good atmosphere, when you want to know people it's a good place

Disliked: the bathroom facilities are included in the dorms and so it's disturbing to the others when you want to wash yourself and there isn't any viewprotection, the breakfast is very simple and when you are bit late there isn't any bread left.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, fun atmosphere, great breakfast and an optional all you can eat barbecue... What's not too like?

Disliked: A bit of a hike from the bus terminal (10 minutes incl. some uphill) but a cab will only cost around 15 pesos

Liked: All the other reviewers are right. The staff is the best thing about this place. They are incredibly patient and full of information!

Disliked: bathroom smelled a bit but rooms were clean. Kitchen could use a few more utensils.

Liked: This hostel was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It didn't feel like a "hostel" at all but rather a very relaxed and cozy hotel/home/hang-out spot. The short walk into town is very nice - it's just a few minutes removed from the touristy bustle of the main street, which I really liked. The view was incredible and the split bathrooms (one space with the shower, one with the sink, and one with the toilet) were very convenient. I need to come back to El Calafate for a night to catch a bus to Puerto Natales, and I will definitely spend it here!

Disliked: Nothing at all. Sometimes there were a few flies in the kitchen but that was a minor thing.

Liked: - The staff (especially Barbara) were very very helpful and helped us a lot to plan everything quickly and efficiently - The barbecue is DELICIOUS and there is a lot of choice

Disliked: - The cleanliness of the common kitchen was quite disgusting : there were thousands of flies, alive AND dead - The bread at breakfast was a bit dry

Liked: Common areas are nice, especially the mezzanine level, though a shame it gets used as a smoking area (and also occasionally as someone's bedroom when they are busy!). Dorm rooms fairly small, but nice enough.

Disliked: Flies! Hundreds of them, everywhere! A few I can cope with, and they are generally quite prevelant in El Calafate so it wouldn't be a big deal, however, the hostel was literally overrun with them - especially in the kitchen, which completely puts you off cooking. About twice a day the staff fog all the common areas with spray, and then sweep up all the dead flies. Unfortunately a losing battle. Shame - totally put us off what otherwise would have been a v nice hostel.

Liked: The view is definitely nice and probably the best feature. Big common area, good barbecue.

Disliked: The flies... not a big deal but they're pretty annoying.

Liked: realy nice "living room", nice bedrooms with big lockers (my whole backpack fittet in), nice and friendly stuff

Disliked: the underfloor heating is a little bit too hot...and its a little bit far away from the city, but still only 10 minutes to walk

Liked: Expensive, but one of the best we've been to. Floor heating, decent bathroom... that's about it. "All you can eat" BBQ every evening, not cheap but delicious.

Disliked: Located 10 min. walk from town's center (that's a lot for this tiny town)

Liked: Really GREAT communal areas, the staff know their stuff and they offer a lot of tours if that's what you're after. We wanted to see the glacier as cheaply as possible and they didn't try to push anything onto us as some hostels have. The dorms were very clean with awesome showers. Kitchen was pretty good, quick internet. You could also smoke upstairs to save you freezing outside but it didn't make the rest of the areas smell of smoke. The BBQ looked awesome and they sit you together which is a really nice way to meet people.

Disliked: The beer at the hostel was 18 pesos BUT they don't mind if you buy your own at the supermarket. The location is not central but it's easy to find and 10 minutes walk to the town/bus station.

Liked: Very homely hostel, staff were helpful and there was a always a good atmosphere

Disliked: It's up a little bit of a hill but that didnt really bother me as you get nice views from the hostel

Liked: Meiden aan receptie waren behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Mooie locatie en kamer was schoon.

Disliked: Kamer werd niet(vanzelf)schoonmaakt. Dit stond wel op de site, zagen we achteraf.

Liked: Amazing! The cleanest and nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. You could (and should) walk around in your socks on the spotless heater floors. The small dorms with en-suite bathrooms were very comfortable and warm. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loved it. BY FAR the best hostel I have ever seen.

Disliked: The muddy unpaved road heading up to the property, But that's pretty much the case all over Clafate.

Liked: Nice big dorms, each with a bathroom. Towels were included, and it was warm. Most of the staff were very helpful, and the communal areas were nice- except the kitchen.

Disliked: One member of staff was really grumpy and not helpful. It was a bit further out of town than we would have liked. Finally- the kitchen was dirty, there were flies in there and no bowls. It really let down the hostel, as otherwise it was great.

Liked: Nice clean hostel, big common area to mix with people. Rooms were spotless and beds were great.

Disliked: Toooooo hot. Roastying all day and night. The heat seriously needs to be turned down. Also thekitchen is way too small for the amount of people staying there.
