Liked: public space is ok, breakfast is ok

Disliked: light in the room and bathroom is not much, most is broken. there is no lock on the bathroomdoor in dorm! totally equipped Kitchen is not realy true.

Disliked: Normas dichas de mala manera, trato no servicial, solo miran por su negocio, no por hacer un ambiente agradable. Facilitan la información que a ellos les parece, pero no ayuda en otras cuestiones.

Liked: Nice facilities. Free pick up from the bus station at 1am was appreciated.

Disliked: Staff not polite. No towels. Internet shut down during the night.

Liked: Not much

Disliked: This propery has no soul, the staff do not try to talk to you at all, the bathrooms were horrible, toilets stank and breakfast was stale bread and weak coffee. The place is swamped with flies that they do nothing about.

Liked: Nice rooms and clean bathroom. Good location near the lake and short walk to town.

Disliked: Lack of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Can't get into the kitchen at certain hours of the day.

Liked: This family-run hostel offers a nice and cosy athmosphere. We arrived late at night (about 1 am) and were picked up at the bus terminal by the staff. The "breakfast woman", who had not been described as very friendly in former comments, appeared to be the very nice mother of the owner and offered us more and more bread for breakfast, until we finally declined. Overall we had a very good time at los manos and would always go back to this good and verz fair priced hostel.

Liked: Nice staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms, beautiful building.

Disliked: Not very close to center but 5 blocks is not far for a little town like El Calafate.

Liked: We had a double room, very light, clean, warm (heat was on even if not yet so freezing outside). The lobby is very light as well, with big windows.The staff was friendly, they helped us book all the trips to the glacier and so on.The wi-fi only worked in the lobby.

Liked: This is nearly a really good hostel (good meeting areas, good sized kitchen, the heating functions round the clock, hot showers, internet and wifi, etc), but little things let it down...-the dorm rooms are VERY small-kitchen is poorly equipped with cutlery and crockery-inadequate number of toilets for the dorms (the only toilet for guys couldn't flush, and I 'repaired' it for the 4 days we were there with a piece of black string (which may still be there!)-the building is new, looks good from the outside, but is of cheap construction (like a lot of Calafate) and has been built to make money for as little outlay as possible-some of the staff were less than cheerful and friendly... maybe living in a cold windswept climate sours the spirit and develops brusqueness? (We can endorse the comments by previous reviewers about the breakfast lady being stingey over the amount of butter, bread etc that we were allowed to have, though we also saw that some people who she apparently liked had no trouble getting extras - we were not among the favoured few. Still, all part of the entertainment.)Anyway, for all that, this isn't too bad a place for the price, and we met a lot of interesting travellers there.

Liked: The 5 bed dorm with ensuite was very nice. They picked us up from the bus station, which was helpful. The architecture of the hostel and the communal areas were attractive. Wifi was slow, but worked.However, the breakfast lady acted as if it were her role to protect the breakfast, instead of serve it. Don´t dare ask for extra butter, or you´ll be told "¡Una por persona!" Although, complaining about her served as a bonding opportunity with the other guests.No bin lids, so there was a real fly problem. No screens on the windows, so there were mosquitos, too. Communal areas were shut at midnight, which was inconvenient.

Liked: Free pickup from the bus terminal was greatly appreciated at 1am. Hostel is a short pleasant walk into town. Staff will arrange any tours, transfers for you. Kitchen is good & the breakfast was fair. Very nice property, ensuite in the 4 bed dorm was perfect. Only minor issue was the paper thin ceilings. Any movement from above will wake you. Ask for a room on the top floor....
