Liked: Very friendly staff. On our first night there was an Asado (Argentinian slow-cooked barbeque) with lots of beer and wine for 70 pesos. This was an excellent way to get to know people. The kitchen was good, the common area was very pleasant to hang out in. On our last day we had a bus at 3am, and we had full use of the hostel's facilities all day despite checking out that morning. the staff were helpful and organised our excursions to the National Park and their restaurant recommendation was bang on.

Disliked: It's a bit of a hike from the bus station, and it's hard enough to find, but other than that, nothing.

Liked: Staffs were very king and helpful. They helped me with all bookings, tour and buses.

Disliked: The computer is terrible. Very slow and full of virus. Location is also not good. You have to go up the hill every time, in a sand street. There are lots of hostels closer to the center. There are flies everywhere, including in the kitchen (alive and dead). But all the city is like this.

Liked: The atmosphere was great, everyone was talking to eachother and they play music in the social area all the time. Rooms were clean and comfortable with lockers for valuables. Plenty of cooking facilities but kitchen is small so it gets crowded easily. It has a great view. Bathrooms were good to. Close to a supermarket.

Disliked: It was over priced but i stayed over christmas so I expect it. The breakfast is just bread and jam but it is amazingly tastey bread! Some of the male staff are a bit full on!

Liked: Great hostel. Awesome social atmosphere, very relaxed and comfy beds. Staff are extremely friendly and go overboard to provide the best service they can.

Disliked: Blanket on beds are a little thin when they dont have the heating on. But minor issue.

Liked: Great hostel with very friendly staff. Good location. evrything in El Calafete is walking distance. Amazing Asado with plenty of wine. Good atmosphere and great place to meet people. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Liked: A top quality hostel with one of the friendly welcomes we´ve had - in fact all the staff were great. Cool hostel cat. Great tour advice and no commission charged. The breakfast (and particularly it´s presentation) was excellent. The hike up the hill to the hostel that a few others have commented on is nothing to worry about either. Top quality micro-beers at a fair price on offer too.

Disliked: The computers tended to crash too often for it not to become irritating.

Liked: I Keu Ken is an awesome hostel! Ask about the assados! The dorms are hot (heating!) and clean and staff are amazing! They have OJETA which is an amazing Sheep!

Disliked: Didnt dislike anything.

Liked: das beste Hostel welches ich bislang hatte. Ein toller Ort zum relaxen und Spaß zu haben. Für backpacker die allein unterwegs sind, der ideale ort um Leute kennenzulernen. Das Asado war ein Traum.

Disliked: alles war toll.

Liked: nice hostel with a nice atmosphere and helpful friendly staff. the common area is pretty homely. bed room was basic but clean and warm. Julietta booked a hostel for us after we had left I keu ken, when we arrived in P.Madryn someone was waiting for us with a little sign, this was very helpful.

Disliked: nothing bad really

Liked: Very friendly and welcoming even at 2 am, very cosy great views, excellent hostel

Disliked: We arrived at 1:30am our guide book had an incomplete map and the tourist map at the bus station had an incomplete map as well, improved directions or more detailed map as 4 blocks up the hill isn't exactly useful a 2 am in the morning. Also the dreaded hill isn't as bad as the reviews describe

Liked: An excellent all round experience over 4 nights stay. Staff actually care about what they do and the people whom are staying there. The little things are done very well.

Disliked: The computers/internet on the first floor not particularly reliable or fast and would welcome some service.

Liked: Great views up on the hill, comfy beds, very clean, staff are very sweet & very friendly, bbq nights & all the info you need. Supermarket nearby & lovely cosy common areas, as well as cute dogs (and a sheep) to make friends with.

Disliked: Nothing, it was fantastic.

Liked: This place is great. Even though it's up the hill from town, you have a panaramic view of the lake and the mountains. The staff are fantastic and help you with anything you need.

Disliked: The 4 bed dorms are a little small, but that's about it.

Liked: It's kind of like staying at your mum's house. The rooms are upstairs and it has the most home-like feel of any hostel i've stayed in so far. It's very warm, it has a nice fireplace and the decor is awesome. hot showers, free breakfast. good music! and they have a guitar lying around which was great for me. fantastic view as well.

Disliked: nothing, it's all good i believe.

Liked: I stayed at I Keu Ken because some people had recommended it to me and I can see why they did. This hostel is a really special place to stay. When I arrived, the fire was on and the asado was cooking! The staff were totally friendly, professional and helpful. They will help you arrange trips to help you get the most out of the area. The atmosphere is amazing and it really does feel like a home from home. Its definately the best hostel I have stayed in during my trip to Argentina! Really fab.

Disliked: I disliked nothing. Its short walk up a hill, which some people may not like. But, for me it was worth the walk. I visited friends in other hostels in town and they had drawn the short straw. Its a lovely hostel.

Liked: So welcoming and friendly. Super helpful staff. Warm and comfortable rooms. Big kitchen with plenty of equipment. A stash of musical instruments to play with. Loved this hostel!

Disliked: no complaints. One warning: very little turn of the hot water knob in the shower and crank the cold one so you don't get burned.

Liked: The staff were so helpful and friendly, when I got there they knew my name and immediately invited me to join activities that they had planned for the week. (a leaving party and BBQ). They were great with helping arrange day trips. I honestly think, they way you are treated from the minute you walk in the door, makes all the other guests more friendly and sociable. Because the hostel was located on the top of the town, the views were beautiful. The kitchen was clean, knives were sharp, and had plenty (good) utensils to go around a large group. Some people were even baking bread in the oven. There is also a big supermarket just around the corner. I had a great experience. I couldn't recommend a stay here enough.

Disliked: The location was a 10/15 minute walk up hill from town.
