Liked: Calm, clean, basically comfortable, and central location. Manager is friendly and concerned about making stay pleasant.

Disliked: Basic hotel that is not so inexpensive for what you get. Manager can seem intrusive. Have to ask for things like hot water at certain timesand aircon. Manager is pleasant about turning those on, but annoying to have to ask for these things!

Liked: very friendly and personal warm welcome from owner, an older lady. beautiful courtyard shaded with grapes, very central location. would recommend this place to friends.

Disliked: The only problem was, that there is hot water only within certain hours, but you can ask the owner to turn it on. And we had problems with the ants in room number 5.

Liked: This hotel has a great location. The service at the hotel was very good and all the staff were friendly and eager to help. And the bed was great to rest after a great walking day.. Breakfast was good.

Liked: Massive rooms, incredibly welcoming staff, very clean, very quiet. it's very close to the centre of town. there are parrots. there are parrots. breakfast is small but perfectly good. this place is really good, and worth the extra money compared to a standard hostel.

Liked: not much

Disliked: With external temperature of 4 deg celsius in the night and open patio, heating system did not work in one room. Owner insisted that heating should be stoped when leaving the room or during the night. It was not an hotel room, it was a freezer !!!

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at this hostel very much although the services have changed a bit since it was written up in my guide book. Instead of serving ample breakfasts in the courtyard, the owner now gives guests tickets for a basic breakfast at a local cafe. All the same, the location was convenient and the facilities were comfortable. We particularly enjoyed having afternoon wine and tapas beneath the grapevines. This is NOT a place for people looking to party or meet other travellers, but it is a very relaxing place to stay.

Liked: Mirta, the owner, was just delightful. She speaks Spanish clearly and slowly so I could understand all of her explanations. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot with good pressure. Really close to the plaza and walking distance to bus station. No wifi but internet cafe around the corner. I would recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Cafayate.

Liked: This is a great hostel for Cafayate. I strongly recommend it. Everything about it is perfect, except for maybe the lack of internet access. But if you have a wi-fi enabled device, it is very easy to find wi-fi around the main square less than a block away.

Liked: There is a very cosy atmosphere. There is a great outdoor patio area where you can sit and chill in the evening. Very nice, gives it a very relaxing atmosphere. Very close to the central square. Breakfast is served in a wine bar close bar and was excellent. Would definately recommend staying here.

Liked: The owner is the most friendly, delightful woman. I felt as if I were staying at a relatives home. This is one of my favorite hostales! The hostal is great. It is very clean, comfortable, charming,safe. The breakfast is served at a nearby cafe.

Liked: The most friendly hostel we`ve ever stayed in! The staff are SO nice, the place is spotless, and we booked a double room and got a massive room with 5 beds! I´d definitely go back.

Liked: This Hostel was super clean and a nice break from the usual load hostel environments. The lady of the house was very hospitable and gracious. Cafayate is a great place to chill out and enjoy the tranquil scenery and this is the place to stay if you want a clean, quiet and well-located accomodation. Awesome stay!!

Liked: Owned by a very helpful lady, in a good location. Had a double room in walled courtyard surrounded by orange trees. Can use the BBQ. She gave us a jar of homemade dulce de nuez!

Liked: I would recommend this hostel for people who like to find a quiet retreat with character, not for those who seek to party or go on the internet, but for people who appreciate a certain old-world charm. The rooms are fresh, clean and spacious, and the garden is beautiful, with tables and chairs to sit among the fruit trees.

Liked: Beautiful hostel, nice rooms and lovely patio. Incredible nice and helpfull owner and staff, who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. We did not want to leave at all !! Only thing missing was the possibility to cook ourselves, but there are a lot of restaurants around the corner. Hanno and Britta
