El Sol Recoleta
Marcelo T. de Alvear 1590 Piso 2
Recoleta, Capital Federal(1060)
Buenos Aires, Argentina
We're conveniently located at the southern end of the Recoleta neighborhood (in Barrio Norte ). Sights such as the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo, Teatro Colón, Congreso, Recoleta Cemetery and the Florida Street promenade are only minutes away by foot. The well preserved French-style building (1890) evokes the elegant past of the city's Golden Age, although the gritty, fast-paced and highly cultured vibe of contemporary Buenos Aires is never far.
Recoleta is without exception the safest neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Just one block away from sophisticated and sleepless Santa Fe Avenue, the hostel is surrounded by prestigious universities, upscale residences, fashionable boutiques, and countless clubs, pubs, bars and restaurants. You'll rarely walk out onto an empty street here...
Our neighborhood offers most of your needs within a few blocks of the hostel. You´ll find several internet cafes - and dozens of places to eat! You needn't step off our curb for a supermarket, laundry, internet/phone calls, pharmacy, gym, breakfast, bakery, kiosks, photo developing, book shops, etc.
In the Northern part of Recoleta, just a few minutes walk from us, there are plenty of nice cosy little squares and parks with green lawns, a few Modern Arts centres, National Library and the sculpture of the Metal Flower.
