Liked: Central location

Disliked: Staff was extremely unfriendly, they tried to make us pay the full sum (instead of 90%). When we declined because we had already paid 10% to hostelbookers the receptionist became very angry, even abusive, saying that he had nothing to do with hostelbookers and that we were being cheap for not just giving him the extra 10%. When we showed him the email of hostelbookers saying that we only needed to pay 90% he tried to make us pay extra because he felt the hostelbookers exchange rate for the dollar was not right (while in fact his rate was very unfavourable of course). Even calling the owner did not solve the issue, very bad experience!

Liked: Safe building. Breakfast was ok and was served by a nice polite (cleaning?) lady.

Disliked: Was the only person staying at the hostel, so it wasn't very fun. The bathroom was being renovated at the time, so a bit noisy. The owner and his friends were the noisiest though from 10pm-3am, usually i wouldn't mind but i was really sick at the time and needed sleep.

Liked: Really good en-suite room. With the exception of one reception staff member, all other staff were helpful and pleasant.

Disliked: One certain staff member had an attitude and everything for him was a huge effort. On going water problems for upstairs rooms.

Liked: nice enough hostel to crash at, given that there is so much to do in BA. Room was really hot though, and the fan was aimed at the door, so cooled nothing down.

Liked: Warm hostel (visited in winter) with clean basic facilities. Kitchen is a bit pokey, but it's cheap so what more can you ask for. 6 bedroom dorm is very noisey as it's next to the common hang out room - if you're after sleep, book a room further down the hall.

Liked: the atmosphere was really good, very friendly and fun staff and guests. this is a party hostel and not the best for people who like lots of sleep, well as least before 4 or 5am. highly recommended
