Liked: The location was great, walking distance to San Telmo and some great restaurants and bars. We had a double room on the top floor (four flights of stairs, ouch!) with a private bathroom. Nice room, but pretty expensive. Think you can get a better room elsewhere for better value. There was still a bit of construction, but nothing that disturbed us at all. Breakfast was pretty good - real coffee! The downstairs bar area is really cool and the staff are generally nice and friendly. Good drink specials.

Liked: Great place, the staff are very friendly, it is clean, and there are enough bathroom facilities and they are in a good state. The bar/restaurant downstairs serves good food and is a nice place to start off the evening. The place also has a great courtyard area out towards the back. The crowd is not quite as lively as in nearby Milhouse but nevertheless this hostel is one of the best I have stayed at in Argentina

Liked: big dorms, heaps of room, and very helpful staff. Also pretty close to Des Nivel, the best steak i´ve eaten in BA

Liked: I liked evrything about the hostel; the friendly staff (thanks for everything), the cool laidback atmosphere. I will miss the people at Che Lagarto, and will definetely come back next time I visit Buenos Aires. I rate my stay at the hostel VERY high, and wish the staff there the best for the future:)

Liked: El ambiente es muy grato y relajado. El bar y el patio muy lindos. La gente muy amable. Solo les hace falta renovar las sábanas y cambiar la alfombra de la habitación por cerámica!
