Liked: Very helpful staff. Our private room was like a hotel room. Very comfortable bed. Best shower I've had in South America. Wifi in room.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: whole place is new (maybe 3 years old), super clean, hostel staff very helpful. spacious clean 4 bed dorms with lockers, doors to outside very soundproof - dark and quiet to sleep. Great breakfast, common areas, wifi etc. Obvious why it has lots of hostel bookers and hostelworld awards.

Disliked: A bit of a room mix up to start with. Also signs everywhere say you can extend your stay as long as you tell them by 1pm but we asked at 11am and it was full, so we had to leave.

Liked: Nice clean hostel with friendly staff, good facilities and close to many amenities. The subway stop is locate about 5-10 mins walk away which is handy.

Disliked: The shower and toilet in the dorm didn't seem to have lock on the door? I found the mattress on the bed was pretty narrow and I'm not a big person. The internet signal was weak or non-existent in the dorm, perhaps a signal booster would be a good thing. These are all minor issues for me and didn't really effect my stay.

Liked: Clean rooms, comfy beds. Really helpful staff and good location. Excellent breakfast.

Disliked: Small kitchen, got very crowded and also not very well equipped.

Liked: Clean,comfy,modern.Receptionist are professionals(Especially Barbara :) ).

Disliked: First floor rooms are noisy due all the A/C units are under your window and they are running 24/7 +the loud music from the reception can be annoying around midnight..

Liked: very clean hostel - each 4 bed dorm room had its own toilet and shower - plus some more downstairs. CLEAN!!!! Plenty of chill out areas - inside and outside that were very comfortable. Staff were great - helpful and very capable. location was perfect - easy walking distance to most places - bus stop and metro really close. Breakfast was good - plenty of food and variety. Definitely recommend to other travelers.

Disliked: Music played to early hours of morning - can be difficult to get sleep. Wifi can drop in and out.

Liked: Clean, well organized, good breakfast. Not a party hostel. Quite safe. Great staff that gives good advice.

Disliked: The football game tour they arrange is really overpriced and the pizza and beer are after the tour and there wasn't nearly enough of either. A couple of different meeting areas, but not the best place to meet people. If you're outgoing, you can still meet people and have a good time.

Liked: Double rooms are more like a hotel! Location in San telmo is great for something a little less touristy. Breakfast is above average. Plenty of areas to chill out etc.

Disliked: Kitchen could be bigger/have more equipment for the size of the hostel. Staff were quick to respond to requests for anything missing.

Disliked: People paying different rate for the same kind of room, depending on the time you arrive, and if you want to extend your stay they don't keep the same rate as you book through hostelbookers

Liked: We are a couple who has been travelling for almost 6 months now in South America, so we have tried some hostels. We have even been in several just in Buenos Aires. This hostel is totally clean, the staff is very helpfull, the breakfast which is included is good, the kitchen free of use is clean and good, the wifi connection, the appearance, the location, the size and inventary of the double room and the price!

Disliked: Nada..:)

Liked: My favourite Hostel in South America! There really was nothing to not like about America del Sur Hostel. The staff were all the most friendly, helpful, efficient and personable staff i´d met through all of my travels. Clean, tidy, smart decor, excellent range of services offered . . . . . i could go on for a long time!!!!

Disliked: please see above!

Liked: Rooms: they are very clean and confortable. Enviroment: friendly enviroment, the attention is really good.

Disliked: Location: the neighborhood is quite dangerous at night. Rooms: the rooms located in the street side are too noisy. There is trafic all day and night.

Liked: Staff super-friendly and always trying to remember your name, which makes the contact with them more personal. Modern, clean rooms. Definitely worth it!

Liked: Was fantastically clean and modern. Super friendly staff. Great tours and trips available (including Tango and football, not at the same time obviously)

Disliked: The in room lockers were not the most secure. A few were broken (although repaired the same day when mentioned)

Liked: Very comfortable hostel with a hotel organization. The staff was eager to help with any questions or concerns we had, and the hostel offered a nice variety of fun and organized activities inside and out of Buenos Aires. Also offered a comfortable TV and library room downstairs for guests to relax in.

Disliked: The futball match we ordered through the hostel was fun, but somewhat expensive and very disorganized. They promise you a complementary pizza dinner and beer before the game, but in reality we only received the food and drinks after the game in a crowded bar where everyone jumped on top of one another in order to get a hand on the scarce food and drinks.

Liked: New hostel, very much like a modern European budget hotel. Nice room (stayed in double private w/ ensuite). Has a safe in the room. Staff always happy to help and with a smile on their face.

Liked: I stayed here in 2009 and thought it was amazing and was hoping for the same and I wasn't disappointed! The staff are very friendly, it's a very clean hostel and in a very good location.

Disliked: The staff can be slightly fussy on check-in times and don't like if you turn up early but not much else to complain about.

Liked: awesome place to stay in Bs As. probably one of the best hostels i've stayed in, in Argentina! it's very clean, nice common areas, awesome breakfast. the rooms are good (i've stayed in a 4 pax dorm), there is even a hair dryer! the staff is nice and it's well located! come and see by yourself!!!

Disliked: nothing
