Liked: The lady who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. She was probably the only good thing about this hostel.

Disliked: The bedrooms were very cramped and dirty. There was only one thin blanket on the bed, we asked the night manager if we were able to have another blanket and he said between the two of us there was only one blanket, it was clear he couldn't be bothered to find more. It is winter and was a freezing night. Of the 6 months I have spent in south America this was the coldest I have been. He was rude and lazy and it was the worst hostel we have stayed at this whole time. We leftearly due to this

Liked: Location, roof top terrace, breakfast although it wasn´t special. Premier league football on the TV.

Disliked: A lot. I think this hostel is only a good place if you want to meet people to party with. The rooms and facilities are quite bad. The room was okay and not too warm. It did seem like the matrass was a bit crooked. But the bathrooms were a joke, seemed like nothing has been done about them for decades. Light bulbs had not been replaced, to operate the toilet you had to turn a screw back and forth, there was always a small pool of water on the floor and the water was, amazingly, too hot; almost no water coming out of the cold water thing. Girl who checked me in was too strict in an unfriendly way about checkin at 12 o clock when i arrived a little earlier than that.

Liked: Friendly helpfull staff, very familiar atmosphere!!! The staff helps you with any problem and question at any time, and you can have long interesting discussions if you run into somebody. Nice terrace. Kitchen well equipped. Nice cleaning personnel.

Disliked: The kitchen cleanliness, but that's mostly do to other clients of the hotel, who leave it that way and not due to the hostels staff. Some info on the website is out of date. Very little workable chairs on terrace. I didn't like the instant coffee, but as a European you are used to other stuff :-), and then there's a starbucks realy close, so that's not a biggy.

Liked: Our private double room was very basic with 2 single beds pushed together and no other furniture. The room faced directly out to the common area and only a thin white lace for a curtain so absolutely no privacy as anyone could see into the room, and its hard to relax when there's a bunch of people hanging out right where you are trying to relax or sleep.Good security and nice staff. An ok place to stay for a night or two but not somewhere to relax and chill out.

Liked: The location is excellent, staff is friendly. Only the rooms are smelly and hot, the breakfast is very minimal.

Liked: Kind and helpful staff at the hostel. Not too busy when we were there so not many people to meet. Good area for shopping, food and drinks. I would use +1 Hostel again.

Liked: The staff was PERFECT. The rooms themselves had NO character or even places to hang your towel. And the rooftop terrace where I hoped to spend New Year's eve partying with fellow travellers was not open since the owner was on vacation. The whole city shut down for both days we were there so there was very little to do. The staff did what they could, but that wasn't much.

Liked: The hostel was very nice and clean, our room was great. We loved the roof top patio and the dog.The staff was very nice and helpful. Loved the Hostel, but palermo was not our favorite area of town, a little to boutiquey and expensive.
