Liked: Location is good at daytime, not really safe at night.Friendly staff, very helpful. Good atmosphere.REALLY NOISY!! EVERYWHERE, PEOPLE CHANGING ROOM EVERYNIGHT and even leaving the hostel. There is no way you could get a quiet room.

Liked: The roofterrace was nice, just as the interior (very colourfull). BBQ was bit dissapointing (meat wasn't all that).

Liked: You always got a smile or a "hola" in the hallway.. You could sit on the rooftop and make so many new friends. We spent everyday up there and after just a minute we were a huge group of people together. The atmosphere at the art factory is is seriously amazing. I will go back, and I will not stay anywhere else than the Art Factory.

Liked: I was very disappointed this place. room was very noisy becauseroom was next to lounge where people were talking loudly midnight,We had to ask to change room. Also original room had toilet flashing problem, also key to room did not work properly etc

Liked: The place definitely had charm with the artwork. Breakfast included was good with lots of fresh fruit. Great place to meet other backpackers and the crowd wasn't too young and obnoxious. They book tickets to Uruguay for you at the front desk which was helpful. Rooftop patio great place to chilland the included breakfast is good. The only downfall is that it's not safe to walk around the neighborhood after dark. Everything closes and the streets clear out. Apparently there is a dude on the next block infamous for mugging people once the sun goes down.

Liked: I have stayed in many different locations in Argentina, but here you are being felt welcome immediately. My room was perfect, bed was perfect. Bathroom could have been better, as in my own the warm water just would not work ( I used the general bathroom and there the warm water worked good). Staff was very friendly, central rooms are convenient. Good atmosphere.

Liked: This hostel is cool, there is always people to meet or something to do on the board. The front rooms can be very noisy because of the traffic but not too bad during the night. And these are great rooms because you have a little balcony and fresh air coming here. Every room have a ceiling fan and most have cool art on the walls. The kitchen is not the best for cooking (not much equipment or space) but good enough and clean. Nice breakfast until 11am in the bar upstairs. Friendly staff and free internet.

Liked: Decor was good. Staff were mostly friendly. I felt that I and my belongings were safe. The room I had was stuffy and smelt of the damp all the time though and the kitchen was alittle grubby.

Liked: Staff were excellent - cheerful and helpful. Strange atmosphere though; it seems that the name Art Factory attracts many guests who are a little bit up themselves. Good location for most of the town - stay on a Sunday and go to the San Telmo market which is great. The bar can also be noisy. Good security in dorms, but not in private room 18!

Liked: The rooms got a little hot during the day, expected in suimmer, however, this made poeple not stay in their rooms to use their computers, their books, their diaries etc. and got them in the commong areas - which are amazing. A huge outside courtyard, was the meeting place of all the people i met in this hostel, and which ultimately made the brief trip full of fun and exciting times.

Liked: I had a private double ensuite that was really spacious with a great bed. For what I paid it was excelllent, breakfast with fresh fruit really nice.

Liked: Great place to stay while in Buenos Aires! The art work through the building is incredible. The terrace is a fantastic place to sit back talk with other travellers. Lots of activities, live music, mini-markets and local tours. Just be aware they dont have any credit card or debit card facilities.

Liked: Loads of character and atmosophere - in an area close to the centre of San Telmo and near to the centre of the city also. Most Staff are friendly and very helpful - provide loads of local knowledge. Surrounding streets can be dodgy at night though - and there have been a few problems for travellers in the last week or two. Bathrooms could do with a refurb/clean and need more ventilation.

Liked: The room and bed was comfortable. The rooftop BBQ on offer was nice. Unfortunately the bathrooms were old & run down, the staff usually too busy to give you much help or advice and the breakfast not quite up to scratch.

Liked: The staff on reception were extremely helpful and when I returned without a reservation 3 weeks later, they remembered me and whilst they were full, found me another hostel just round the corner.

Liked: The wall paintings everywhere are great, i am an artist myself so i really took a lot from the vibe. My room was fantastic, loads of character and the balcony overlooking piedras was great.

Liked: The building is a lovely old converted house. It's a little bit faded - the photos flatter the rooms - but it's full of character and we liked it. The roof terrace is a nice place to hang out, shame there were not many chairs. The bar was a good space but was seldom open. Also, not enough shared bathrooms for the double rooms. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Basic breakfast. And quite quiet at night.
