Liked: Not a hell of a lot!

Disliked: It is in a seedy part of town and the first thing we were told when we arrived was don't go outside after dark as its dangerous! A girl staying at the hostel got mugged right outside the front door while we were staying there. She told the staff but they couldn't care less. The staff in general were really rude. Even when it came time for us to check out, mid conversation one guys just ignored us and started off a new conversation with his work mate. We stood there for 5 minutes waiting to give them our money!! Come on, pull it together. We tried to book ferry tickets with them also, but the reservation function on there computer was broken... sure they just couldn't be bothered. The internet was out of action for two of the three days we where there and then when it was working it was slower than places we have been which are in the middle of know where. Not the middle of BA. This place really needs to care more about the people that choose to pay to stay there.

Liked: I loved the artistic vibe and how people had fun but still respected the quiet of the night. I also liked the location.

Disliked: The bunk beds were horribly squeaky and there wasn't enough light in the room. Oh and the men's bathroom is apparently really too small for tall men.

Liked: I've made two inter-rails across Europe and this is surely one of the most cultural hostels I've been to. Lots of activities daily and great ideas, we almost did not need to get out! The staff is VERY helpful, you just have to say what you want and they fix it. Breakfast is great and you have juice and tea all day. The location is central, hey you're not at the chic part of Buenos Aires but it's safe if you follow the rules : ) I love the stay and I would choose it again.

Liked: i liked that a cleaner comes and cleans your rooms, makes your bed everyday and does all the dishes! the private rooms are very quiet and the dorms upstairs near the bar a bit nosier. there are great things organized for the evenings and i especially enjoyed the live music. the location is great - very close to all the main attractions. the free internet which seems to be standard in argentina was very helpful.

Liked: Staff are very helpful, the evening activities are a good way to meet people. The decor in the hostel is nice and it is reasonably clean.

Disliked: The 10 minute walk to San Telmo is through a questionable area and I would not recommend you do this after dark if you are traveling alone.

Liked: The clealiness and the frindly atmosphere. The staff were realy helpfull

Disliked: The noise at night... Our room was next to the common area and the room was not well isolated from noise...

Liked: The free live music at night was fantastic. Really talented musicians. Folk are really friendly and staff are super helpful. The rooms have got cool decor and the showers were always hot.

Disliked: The hostel is very noisy (dogs barking, drilling, stairwell foot steps) so if you want a quiet hostel this isn't for you (or bring your ear plugs).

Liked: A great surprise! This is a good hostel for people of any age group. Even an oldie (over 60) like me will feel at home here.

Disliked: On the nights I was here, nobody availed of the special offer in the very nice bar upstairs. What a great pity! I did not want to drink in an empty bar by myself, so went to my room and read my book instead.

Liked: Decked out something lovely. Murals in every room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Not quite enough bathrooms at peak times (it's quite a big place) and kitchen quite small. Great bar area with music, tango etc (but it's not too loud). One of the most characterful hostels we stayed at.

Liked: Staff were really helpful and the hostel had a great atmosphere. Also really liked the location as it was easy to walk most place and the bus stops pretty much outside the door.

Liked: A bit quirky, it was kinda cute, and some of the staff made a lot of effort...

Disliked: ...some of the staff made no effort, and the location was quite dangerous (they say you shouldnt be walking on either street parallel to the hostel after 9pm).
