Liked: We really enjoyed our stay here! The hostel is in a perfect location and the staff were very helpful at directing you to places of interest in BA. All the staff were friendly, great breakfast, very clean, plenty of bathrooms with hot water!

Disliked: Although the kitchen was very clean and fully equipped, it was extremely small and only one person could work in there at a time.

Disliked: Our room was hot, that is, a room for seven, with a ceiling fan, which is very high, not enough.

Liked: I do honestly have to say i loved it ,beign in ayres portenos was really comforting for my trip ,great staff really great service ,they were very helpful even when i got so many questions and needs they do not stop helping me im so thankful for their hospitality i would definetly come back there

Liked: THe staff was just great and answered all my demands as regards tours or specials areas of the city. The room was really clean.

Disliked: The bathrooms are used by customers from the bar who might let it dirty.

Liked: It's a great place to stay! Great atmosphere, good set up for rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff...

Disliked: Computers were almost always being used and people didn't respect the time limit...

Liked: Free Wi-Fi in rooms! Fine toilets and bathfacilities. Decorations and paintings are nice. The staff helped the few times we asked about something.

Disliked: The area around the hostel is very deserted. Many locals in the hostel, not a place to meet other backpackers!

Liked: This place is mistaken for a hotel! It is a hostel of creative and electric atmosphere with plenty of people to meet. The staff are very responsible, facilities are clean, close to town. We started our 2 month venture across South America here and it started with a blast! Loved it!

Liked: It is a very colorful hotstel. I read stories on the internet that is was suposed to be dirty, but the staff was cleaning every day, they even made our beds every day and cleaned our dorm! The showers were clean too. Its very spacious and a nice place to stay!

Disliked: Not too much privacy in the showers..But is was clean!

Liked: It is unfortunate to have to give this place a bad review because it has many things going for it. The location is great and the hostel has obviously made a large effort to create a fun and colorful atmosphere. The walls are painted with the most beautiful murals and the art everywhere is fantastic. However, we would not stay here again. Every night from 10pm to 3 am they play loud music at their onsite bar and this makes it impossible to get much sleep. The other major drawback for us was that they allow smoking in the common areas of the hostel and the smoke is overwhilming even inside the rooms as it seeps in under the doors. Sitting at a computer checking email you must sit next to smokers puffing away. Quite disgusting for non-smokers.Finally, the bathroom had combination toilets with showers inside the same stalls. This would be ok if you had a private bath but these are shared and it gets a bit disgusting showering next to a smelly public toilet with a toilet paper bin filled with shitty paper getting all wet from the shower.

Liked: The hostel is in a very privileged point of the town. The staff was very very friendly and helpfull. The decor is fantastic and unique. It was safe, comfortable, and clean. I met nice people from many countries and I had fun a lot with them. The breakfast was cool. I spent great days there and I felt like I was home. Thank you, Aires Porteños.Excelente ubicación. El personal es muy muy amable y servicial. La decoración está muy linda y original. Es seguro, cómodo y limpio. Conocí a buena gente de muchos países y me divertí mucho con ellos. El desayuno está muy bueno. Le pasé días geniales allí y me sentí como si estuviera en casa. ¡Gracias, porteños Aires!Ótima localização. A equipe é muito simpática e prestativa. A decoração é linda e original. É seguro, confortável e limpo. Conheci muita gente boa de muitos países com quem me diverti muito. O café da manhã é muito bom. Liked: funky hostel in cool neighbourhood. difficult to meet other people, i am solo traveller so this was my main gripe. kitchen was minute and there is a lot of wasted space. no common area which is badly needed. bathrooms were rarely clean.

Liked: This hostel was really good. It is located in San Telmo, close to the Defensa markets on a Sunday. The main strip of shops and Plaza De Mayo is only a 10 minute walk away.The staff here were really helpful, especially Vicky. They took us out or told us about different places to go to listen to music. They also organised free tango lessons and a trip to the milonga. The breakfast consists of bread with dulce de leche and cream cheese, croissant, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. It is basic but it fills you up!We originally booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 6!

Liked: its the best place where ever i´ have been. The best hostel of the world. Friendly, funny, safty and clear. Party on the roofterasse. in the room no not loud. wont to stay here again.

Liked: The room was extremely dirty, with loads of hair and other stuff all over the floor, on my pillow and around the bed.Staff was not very friendly and not helpful. My room was on the third floor and incredibly hot. Toilets far away and door did mot close properly plus washing machine right next to it, no privacy at all !!!I have stayed in three other hotels in BA before coming here (Art Factory, Southern House and Tango and Bandoneon) and they were all so much nicer and cleaner.There is a roof terrace, but all five chairs are broken and filthy, the TV did not work etc.etc. You can certinly find a nicer hostel on Buenos Aires than Ayres Portenos.It does look very nice on the outside and staircase, floors etc. are beautifully decorated, but inside the rooms are ugly and dirty.
