Liked: Its well located, and has a friendly environment. No lift, so prepare to walk 2, 3 or 4 floors up and down! The bathrooms could be a bit more updated, but they are ok.Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Liked: This place has LOADS of character, beautiful old building with high ceilings, everything is painted playfully with a tango theme, great breakfeasts, and the private rooms are just an amazing deal, I get a nice comfortable bed with a private balcony, for 95 pesos a night! The downsides: wi-fi is slow and patchy, bathrooms are stuffy and a little dirty, and not really a great hostel for meeting other travelers. But this was a small setback to be in a prime location in a hostel with great staff and an absolutely fantastic private room!!!

Liked: The hostel is good, but the coffee is not good and the wireless work in hust one floor, however, the peaples and the location is preary good.

Liked: Not much really apart from the very basics I would expect. I had to move from this hostel as it was like a sauna and I couldn't sleep. Also there is a lot of wasted space in the hostel. Could be so much better than it is.

Liked: This is a good hostel but its size makes it difficult to meet people, the kitchen is tiny and has 3 old pots (but most people seemed to eat out - maybe because they couldn't cook), and there was no real communal area. The staff are very friendly but as they are on the ground floor and the rooms are on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floors it was difficult to get to know them. The rooms are big and tidy with balconies and comfortable beds. They may be noisy but that is Buenos Aires for you - they are no noisier than any other hostel in the city so buy some earplugs...

Liked: The building is sort of palatial meets grunge. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the street which had a nice urban hum through the night. The staff were helpful and there was everything we needed. My husband said it was the best shower he'd had in Argentina! Top tip: the restaurant downstairs does a mean steak. I hope I'm on commission...

Liked: The decor was excellent and very unique. There was a water dispenser which proved to be very helpful. however the rooms facing the road are raher noisy and can be a little stuffy if it's on the 3rd floor. San telmo is sketch in general but the hostel is very safe.

Liked: Nice theme decoration. The living areas are too spread, and that makes harder to get in contact with the rest of the people and even the staff. To use any single thing at the kitchen, like silverware or dishes, you need to ask the staff and bring them from two floors below.

Liked: The staff here are awesome and the funky tango theme decorations and painting are great. They have good security and the location is excellent if you are interested in tango.

Liked: Very clean rooms and sheets, spotless bathrooms, nice free internet and wi-fi. Cute decor and friendly staff. Within walking distance of many of the main attractions (Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, tango places in San Telmo, etc). For other places, just take a cab, it is dirt cheap (10 dollars will take you to the other side of the city and a common ride won't cost you more than 5 bucks)

Liked: I absolutely loved this hostel. I stayed for almost 2 weeks. I felt very at home here. The staff are such lovely, genuine people, that I got to know quite well. Louisa the breakfast lady is brilliant! They are all lovely, friendly and helpful infact. The hostal has great character and I loved my room. The location in San Telmo was great too and near enough to the centre to walk and also near tube stations.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff with good english. breakfast was also good. Avoid the rooms near the breakfast room on thurs - sat nights if you don´t fancy partying along with the thumping noise that comes out of the room - bring ear plugs if you want much sleep before 3am on those nights. Other nights was nice and quiet. Showers on top floor are cleaner.

Liked: San Telmo is a very noisy area at night (constant traffic noises) and the rooms are almost impossible to sleep in because of this... The windows onto the balconies are simply made of wood, so every noise can be heard.

Liked: Great stay. Next door to a pretty good steak bar and grill. About 10 blocks to the center of town, and 5 blocks to the end of the Flordia strip. Also closer to la Boca than many other hostels. When taking a shower, try to be the only one or its very hard to adjust the water-its either scalding hot or freezing if two people or more are showering.
