Liked: Our 2nd room was much more spacious and bright compare to our 1st little box. Location was pretty good.

Disliked: We booked a private room but the bed broke on our first night so we were told to move which was really annoying as we had pretty muched unpacked. The 'bar' only sold beer which is very annoying when you do not drink it! Staff were not overly friendly and we thought for Christmas day something would be happening in the hostel but there was nothing.

Liked: The breakfast was pretty filling and it's really close to a metro stop, plus there are good bars and restaurants near the hostel.

Disliked: The upstairs bathrooms were quite filthy and the cleaning staff would literally hose down the stairs going down to the main lobby at a busy hour, around 9:30-9:45am. Breakfast ends at 10 and check-out is at 10, so this was really confusing. Also, it was dangerous and an ineffective way to clean. I talked to a very nice receptionist about this so hopefully the problem doesn't exist for other guests. Also, in my room there is no ladder for the beds so it's a bit awkward having to step on someone else's bed to get out of my own. Also, it's time for some of the sheets to be thrown away.

Liked: Amazing atmosphere in communal area -so easy to meet people (who end up staying here for up to three weeks). Good wifi connection.

Disliked: Showers are old, toilets get blocked

Liked: Nice enough common areas, nice Palermo location, the place has a bit of character. There is a lot on offer in terms of social events, tours and transfers. The staff are helpful and flexible, which was great when we requested room and date changes.

Disliked: It's a bit run down in parts and the shared bathrooms are sub-standard. Being a larger place the rooms are a bit hit-and-miss - some are quite nice and are up high away from the street, others are shabby and right on the roads (which are quite busy). Generally it's the facilities that let it down.

Liked: This hostel has a great location in Palermo and so is great value considering the location, lots of bars and restaurants and its safe to walk around at night. The common areas are nice and it was easy to meet people.

Disliked: Mattresses on beds so thin you could feel every board on the bed. We were in a tiny room with 2 bunks (4 beds) which was way too hot and hard to sleep in. It had a fan but generally the heating was up very high and it was uncomfortable. Its generally a good hostel though, but be warned that the mattresses are dire, even if you have 2 on the bed at once. kind of the norm in Argentina though.

Liked: very good friendly atmosphere, with a big social area, very easy to meet other travellers. staff were very helpful and spoke good english. lots of tours and activities available. rooms and bathrooms were nice. they double booked our room but were able to sort it out fairly swiftly by putting us in to a nicer hostel for the same price for a night.

Disliked: only one computer between a lot of people.

Liked: The location is great! Lots of possibilities to go out or get good food nearby in the nice bairro of Palermo. Metro and bus stops just a few blocks away. Safe bairro.

Disliked: There was an extra room only for the staff in our room, so that they often come through the room and the door often wasn't locked.

Liked: Nice place, easy to get there by metro. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Good advise for tango show and many activities proposed.

Liked: The hostel is centrally located in Palermo, a very active district of Buenos Aires, with lots of bars and things to do during the night. I've spent two weeks in the hostel because I had to attend a conference, and everything was ok. The staff is really helpful and enjoy getting involved in conversations and activities. The all atmosphere makes really easy to meet people and have good time.

Disliked: Unfortunately the street where the hostel is located is quite noisy, but I think this is a characteristic of all the district due to it's central position.

Liked: The location is good if your interested in the Palermo area of BA which is a superb location if you want the bars and parks of BA. The staff were really cool and the place was really interesting as it is 3 buildings that have been converted into one.

Disliked: We stayed here 2 different occasions, the 1st was a bit of a nightmare as we stayed in a room right by reception and it was Easter weekend - with a mixture of the music and the arrogant South Americans drunks shouting until about 6 in the morning, it was a horrible night. However, the 2nd time was much better and the staff assured us it was only due to the Easter hols. The 2nd time there was great.

Liked: This is a great place to meet people, the communal bar area downstairs is great, as is the size of the roof terrace. Good location, close to everything in Palermo and the metro. Staff are really nice and friendly - although one of them seemed to be drunk pretty much all of the time! Location was the most important thing for us, so we could kinda overlook the negatives below...

Disliked: We were in dorm room 19 - on the roof terrace, which wasn't ideal as we had to climb a really narrow spiral staircase to get there! Room was boiling, no air con and a really crap fan on the floor. Beds were thin foam mattresses, and the lockers were pretty rubbish. Room wasn't cleaned once during our 4 days there. The room could be locked but there weren't enough keys for everyone. The bathrooms were dirty, although I saw them cleaned once - there are only a few bathrooms for a LOT of people. Kitchen is really bad and on the roof terrace, and chairs need replacing on the terrace too.

Liked: Location is often key, you can look pass other things for this and this place has that. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm.

Disliked: zero water pressure so showers below average, Lockers in room in poor condition.

Liked: Great atmosphere, great accommodations, and great staff. Taco night was awesome and Fleur, Anna, Piero and Scott made the experience and easily made me feel welcomed. It's easy to become a part of the festivities at Tango's. I will definitely be staying here again.

Disliked: Nada

Liked: Great location-short walk to Santa Fe and Plaza Serrano. Good common areas (except bathrooms which were filthy). Reasonably good atmosphere.

Disliked: Bathrooms were filthy, needed much more frequent cleaning. Poor kitchen which was all the way upon third floor. Bar wasn't great-no bottle opener and a couple of times had no beer available.

Liked: Tango Backpackers is in a great location if you want to go out in Palermo. The staff are friendly and they have all the facilities you could hope for.

Disliked: The shower curtains are transparent, the clasps on the locker draws are not secure at all and the room was way too hot, even with a fan!!!
