28 January 2013

Liked: The room we stayed in was quiet, as it did not face the street.

Disliked: We did not get the room we booked (we got three single beds instead of one double bed). We did not have hot water for the first day and a half. We did not get internet in the room. The bathroom door did not move unless you lifted it off the ground. The shower was not enclosed and there was just a drain in the ground, so the bathroom was full of water when you were done showering, and it even seeped out into the carpeted room. The television in the room did not have a remote, and it unplugged on its own every once in a while. We had originally booked for 8 nights, but within two hours we spoke with reception to say we only wanted to stay 3 nights as the have a 2 day cancellation policy. The girl at reception said it shouldn't be a problem, but we would have to speak to the manager who was not there. After 2 more days of the manager not coming and not answering the calls the staff were giving her, we got a message from the manager saying that we would only be refunded half of the days back. After explaining everything to the unfortunate girl at reception who had to be in the middle of all this, she herself ended up refunding the days 5 days less we were staying.
