Most sociable hostel I've been too (although that may have been more due to the other guests and not the hostel, but the atmosphere definitely helped). Bit annoying that the lounge and kitchen close at 1, but they are right below the rooms so it's understandable, especially as some of the excursions can start quite early. Great book swap system full of english books that aren't too bad (I've been to too many hostels when the book swap is full of obscure dutch books with half the pages missing). Only criticism is that the hostel staff were unwilling to book any excursion they weren't associated with (guess it's something to do with commission). All in all, great hostel for relaxing between the excursions.

Nice quiet location. Went there just to kick back and have a rest for a few days after treks and climing furthur south. Good place

i got a special off season rate, which was nice! the staff are excellent, really helpful and practically bilingual. very nice atmosphere, lounge with tv and dvds for use. great hostel!

The staff, especially Hernan and Martin, were always extremely friendly and helpful. The common room was a comfortable, home-like place for everyone to meet and hang out. The hostel also had endless opportunities and recommendations for ways to explore Bariloche.

This hostel has a fantastic atmosphere. A great place to base yourself when in Bariloche. Make sure you book in advance if visiting during the peak seasons - heaps of backpackers have been turned away because it is full - there is a reason for this!

They have high standars in this hostel and it´s a nice place to hang out and meet people. One of the best I´ve been in.

This is the best hostel we have ever stayed in by far! It has a great atmosphere that encourages everyone to get to know each other. The staff are very helpful and play great music! We had a double with a view of the lakes. Would definately recommend for all, esp. singles.

Staff very friendly and chatty, real family atmosphere. Good area to chill out in and talk to other guests over food or a beer.
