Liked: The owners and atmosphere are the stars of the hostel. The grass and deck out the front is wonderful for chilling Out, meeting people and having an afternoon drink. The owners made us feel Completely at home and went the extra mile to help us out in Any way possible. (Lola the dog is very cute!) we all really enjoyed our stay There and highly recommend anyone to stay here. The Homemade bread in the morning is delicious!

Liked: After lots of travelling and hostels in bustling cities, Alaska was a lovely quiet hideway in the out skirts of the city center. There were not that many other guests, so it felt a bit like we had a whole cabin to ourselves. The hostel is a beautiful log cabin and on cold days , it does feel like it transports you to 'Alaska'. It's a great location to go for walks , close to the beach and main road where you can catch a bus either into town or beautiful locations of Bariloche.

Disliked: If you don´t want to walk anywhere it wouldn´t be very good. But I loved the hostel. Would reccomend this to anyone.

Liked: The hostel was very quiet. Not many other guests, which was perfect for us. Even though they could have crammed us together in a few rooms with the other guests they gave us a room for ourselves, which was great. The owner was really very friendly and helpful. Even though the hostel is not new and shiny it was well equipped. It also has a nice terrace and garden. The hostel is outside bariloche as described, but in my view the city has nothing to offer and everything we wanted to see was further away from the city anyway, thus making the location perfect. Hostel was clean as well.

Disliked: It is not new, but surely not more shabby than most other hostels I have seen. The only thing that could have been better were the sheets, they were really a bit on the thin side.

Liked: Overall a brilliant hostel. The hostel was great!! The owners Javi and Naty were very hospitable and friendly and particularly knowledgeable about the area and Argentina in general. The whole hostel has a friendly ambience and the facilities are great, a fully equipped kitchen, hot showers, and the rooms are very clean and you get free towels. The breakfast is very good, fresh bread which is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, met some really cool people and would definitely recommend it to other travellers and would not hesitate to go back there. Also although the hostel is 7.5km away from the town buses are regular and easy to catch and is no issue whatsoever as the outdoor type activities are in the vicinity.

Liked: this hostel was everything a hostel should be: great staff, homey, rustic feel, and very comfortable. breakfast every morning was homemade bread and homemade jam, a very cozy living room area with internet, movies, and lots of fun people to meet. overall definitely a positive experience!

Disliked: It's location is a little bit far from downtown bariloche, a 25 minute bus ride. especially at night when the buses do not run as regularly.

Liked: Location is not bad like some people said. It´s close to the bus stop and in a nice quiet place. The hostel is great, Javier and all the staff, and , even if I was very lucky to find gret people here, is the ideal hostel to meet people and relax with them. Great kitchen, nice breakfats and very clean. But it´s the best for its atmosphere. I´m just sad I have to go away from here.

Liked: Primarily, staff were super-helpful! The art of fully informing new guests and going through the map and possible activities seems to be a difficult one to perform without seeming bored and not caring, but these guys seem to really care what you do with your stay! I was recommended some great stuff to do, catered to the time I had. Breakfast is awesome, the rooms vary but some are really nice (4-bed forms), no locks on bathrooms but the showers are hot. Communal areas nice, especially the kitchen/dining room thing, gotta love the global variations of 'your mother isn't here, wash up your own dishes' in Cockney english, Glaswegian through russian and dutch. Great character. Also love the 'help yourself to beer from the fridge but write down that you've had some' rule, shows how much trust and friendliness can be found in the hostel.

Disliked: The location. I saw on reviews that people had mentioned the location as not ideal but that the hostel was nice enough for this not to matter. It is a nice hostel, and great value, but it is really annoying having to get a bus to get anywhere. It is slightly nearer all the walks and lakes and stuff but you still have to get a bus so might just as well be in the centre, which is a good 20 minutes bus ride away. Nearest supermarket a few k up the road.

Liked: Hostel is run by the owners and it shows, everything is clean and orderly. The hostel is located a few blocks from a great beach. The center of the city is 15 minutes (by bus) away but most amenities you need are within walking distance. This place has great character and attracts plenty of cool travelers.

Disliked: The kitchen setup is great and has three stoves for cooking but not enough refrigerator space. Not a big deal considering how cool this place is.

Liked: This was a nice place to meet people and the bus provided a way to go see the sights. There were several stoves to cook food and the morning breakfast of homemade bread, coffee and/or tea was simple but ok. It was an all around good experience.

Disliked: It is a bit far to shop and the bus stops are a few blocks walk. They had a bed bug problem which they took care of immediately.

Liked: This is not the best hostel of South America, but the best hostel of the WORLD! The breakfast is amazing with homemade bread and homemade jam.. Javi and Naty are the BEST BEST BEST and most friendly hosts you could have in a hostel. From the first minute we felt like home here!! The rooms are superclean, the hostel looks like a Austrian Cabana in such a nice surrounding! If we should come back, no doubt about staying here again. It's an excellent place to meet really nice people with the same interests (not partying but sharing nice stories) JUST DO IT!!!!! Thanks Javi and Naty!
