Liked: The view from the common area is great. Good and friendly atmosphere. I made a lot of new friends from different countries. Free dinner, although very simple, is a plus if you are on a tight budget. 24/7 reception. Free wi-fi and 3 computers with Internet access that you can use at no charge (speed is not the highest, but it works and it's free).

Disliked: You have to go upstairs for a long way to get in and out of the hostel (about 40mts. of stairs, which is hard if you are carrying your suitcases and backpacks with you). The lockers for your personal belongings were very basic, and no locks were provided, you had to buy them yourself (although in the end I didn't use any lock and I was fine anyway).

Liked: Brilliant hostel to stay in, the view from the main area is unbeatable! The location is brilliant too, a couple of mins walk from all the shops. Definitely recommend this place!

Disliked: Be warned, the free dinner is free for a reason. It is a bit hit or miss, don{t let this distract you from staying in the hostel tho!

Liked: I´d read various reviews about the staff at this hostel being quite abrupt and not so nice... I thought that they were really nice and they were extremely helpful also. The hostel (although being up a hill and a lot of stairs once you enter the front gate) has an amazing view and an awesome balcony (complete with sunchairs) from which to appreciate the stunning surroundings. Dinner was quite basic but free so can´t complain. Breakfast was quite good also. If you booked to do a tour through the hostel they would alter the breakfast time to start at 7.30 when it normally starts at 8.00am. Rooms were a good size with ensuite, lockers, good kitchen and communal area and free internet access also. would stay here again for sure.

Liked: nice view

Disliked: the staff is not nice, not helpful and have know knowledge regarding basic thing for travelers; we booked marcopolo inn and on arrival they told us that they moved us to hostel inn without asking us. there was no other hostel available so we had no choice. they did the same thing when decided to split me and my spouse to tow different rooms (!!!) although we booked and paid for the mixed dorms; music is very loud at the common area so there is no way to skype, watch TV or just have a normal conversation; not a very good location - about a 10 minute walk from the city center and it's mostly up a hill;

Liked: Good view, clean, comfortable dorms.

Disliked: Unhelpful staff. When we arrived (drenched from the rain) they told us they were full, despite us having made a reservation with them through hostelbookers. They tried to send us to another HI hostel but we refused. Eventually we were allowed to stay here but the hassle seemed a bit unnecessary.

Liked: Friendly staff and amazing views.

Disliked: The shared bathroom has white floor tiles and after one person has had a shower (after trekking) the bathroom is very dirty.

Liked: The Deck and the Views were amazing...you take it forgranted because not many places have that view in Bariloche.

Disliked: Staff could be abrupt and rude at times...more interested in playing their music very loudly through the system in the common areas which meant using the PC and concentrating (if required!) was difficult and uncomfortable...as for watching the TV...forget it...you have to put up with Julietta´s (the worst culprit) music as a soundtrack. Also...from a security persective keys to the rooms 11&12 were dodgy and bars on the windows meant that any exit in an emergency would be tricky. Also, locks on bathrooms in mixed dorms would be really useful!

Liked: Very clean and popular hostel. Great tour info and helpful staff. This is a good place if you want to meet other people. The free dinner isn´t too bad and the breakfast adequate. Its in a good location with a great view of the lake.
