Liked: This is a loveley hostel that is well arranged clean and fun. It is an easy place to make friends, has a beautiful view and is only a short hop from the centre of town on the bus... A must for anyone who wants a chilled and fun place.

Liked: We ended up staying at this hostel much longer than we had planned to. Tomas was great, very helpful with suggestions on where to go and even lent us his tent to go camping. The kitchen was good and there was a nice garden. Location isn't great for going out in the evenings but a nice escape from town. Downsides - the owners didn't like having carrier bags in the fridge so you ended up not knowing where your stuff was and inevitably losing things. Breakfasts were very poor.. although always served with a smile. We would recommend it to others and would come back here in the winter to go skiing (armed with a box of cornflakes).

Liked: Nice house, lovely common areas,friendly staff and a small but cosy double room.Good bathrooms and hot showers. Good atmosphere, great for meeting people. Bus down the road that brings you into town or to the circuits.

Liked: I was only able to stay at this hostel for one night, but I would love to return. It is in more of a residential area and would be perfect for those who are looking for a place a bit more rustic. Thomas was super nice and friendly, he even let me copy music off of the computer since my mp3 player was stolen (in another place).

Liked: Location is perfect if you like a quiet place in a nice neighbourhood, surrounded by trees and beautiful houses, and great views towards the hills and the lake. Transportation to city centre is good and runs often along the coastal road, only 100 m from the hostel.Beware airport pickup is NOT free, although is cheaper than private services.The comunal area is big, welcoming and well arranged and the kitchen well equipped.Maps in the bedrooms look Ok, but more hooks to hang clothes would be great. Bunk beds in room #3 make a lot of noise, should be fixed. There are individual lockers.The bathrooms are big but they also need hooks or extra shelves to put your belongings while you are taking a shower. Also a curtain on the windows would be great to prevent the whole neighborhood from seeing you inside when you are naked. Would recomend it for younger and older people alike.

Liked: We had a great stay at this hostel, the staff, Brian, Tommy and Willy were friendly and helpful and were always around to answer any questions we had. The dorm rooms are clean, with individual lockers (own padlock needed) and fresh linen. The communal area is great, there is a kitchen but the guys offer a nice meal option each evening which we really enjoyed and it was good value for money. The friendly dog, Otto, is also a nice bonus to the hostel! The location is only a problem if you want to be in the centre of Bariloche, but it is closer to the good walks, the bus stop is right at the bottom of the road and there is a supermarket only 5 minutes walk down the road. I would thoroughly recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a nice, easy stay with not too full on a party atmosphere and a nice relaxed environment from which to head out and explore the area. Brian, Tommy and Willy are running a great hostel. We imagine it is EVEN better when it is ski season! Jamie and Lisa.

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff, able to help us plan excursions as well as give us advice about our onward journey. The hostel is about 10 minutes bus ride away from town, and it costs 3 pesos. The bus station is about 20 minutes bus ride away, and costs 6 pesos. Make sure you have the right change!There is a good communal area, where they put on films (projector and screen) and also serve up food between 9pm and 11pm. The kitchen is large and is available for everyone to use - although some of our food went missing from the fridge which is the first time that has happened the whole time we have been travelling!! The bathrooms were clean, and the shower was powerful and HOT WATER 24 hours a day. We stayed in the 8 bed dorm which was a bit full once everyone had their stuff in there, but the lockers are quite big. I would recommend this hostel to other people definitely!

Liked: The manager, Brian, was a huge help and always available to provide information right away. When I arrived after a long bus ride from southern Patagonia , he offered to cook me a steak at no extra charge. He maintains a laid back atmosphere at the hostel and is very welcoming. Green House is an awesome place to stay, one of the best I've seen on my travels through South America. I strongly recommend this location.

Liked: The staff was extremely helpfulin many ways. We do not speak good SPANISH, AND THEY HELPED us in many wAYS. Also, advised us on vafrious restaurants, and places to visit. Great place, especailly at our ages, both of us 78! Norm Green.
