Liked: lira and claas are great! they make your stay very warm and hospitable (even in the chilly albanian winter) and go to great lengths to help you around tirana. they really care that their guests enjoy their stay and are constantly working to make the hostel even better and better. the hostel itself has everything you need as a traveler, the beds are comfy and you will like the garden with its abundance of fruit trees and a very nifty oriental area to chill out and relax. overall i had a great time here, i've also stayed at a few other hostels in tirana and i highly recommend this one!

Liked: the location was so cool! right in the city and the building was a large house with fantastic outdoor areas! a great stay it was! nice cool Albanian staff (good people) and the cutest puppy dog :) owner was lovely and recommendations were great

Disliked: facilities were good (remember it is Albania not Norway)

Liked: Loved this hostel! I originally booked it because it was a bit cheaper than some of the others in Tirana and Im really glad we stayed here. The location is great, the hostel was easy to find, kitchen was reasonable, breakfast is free and delicious, the best we have had so far on our travels, showers were hot and had great pressure. The host was awesome! easy to talk to and very helpful, always happy overall 100% recommend this hostel.

Disliked: Nothing really maybe the matresses on the bunks could have covers some people were just sleeping on the matress instead of with the sheets provided not the hostels fault, was a bit worried at first but was nothing to worry about just made sure we used the linen provided.

Liked: The friendliness and efficiency of the owners Lira and Claus and also Wilma make the hostel a very comfortable place to stay. The breakfast is very good, wi-fi is strong, laundry facilities, TV, a big kitchen, and the garden and fruit trees are very homely. The family pets are a lot of fun also.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: Albania Hostel is such a great place for relaxing and meeting people. The staff is so great and a big hi5 to the owners! the garden area was very cool and the beds were comfy..what more could you ask for? For sure the best place to stay in Tirana!

Liked: The staff were EXCELLENT; so friendly and helpful!! The place also has a really nice beer garden and chill out area outside... and funky posters and photographs on the wall inside!! Really cool place. The breakfast was also good. Great value for money.

Liked: Location is ok as it's not too faraway from center and it seemed pretty much safe and quiet.

Disliked: Pretty boring place, water problems but it's characteristic for Albania over summer...

Liked: - very nice location covered with lemon trees which have fruits that taste like oranges. - refreshing breakfast with melon and bread

Disliked: - not very central but also only a fair 7 min walk to the center - the bathrooms were "interesting"

Liked: Helpful staff, nice common area, the 12 dorm was cold, free breakfast. A little bar in the garden, the cute puppy and also some cute little kittens. Good map and info on the bus schedules.

Disliked: A little walk from Sheshi Skenderbeg and the signs from rr. Beqir Luga to the gate of the hostel could be clearer. Some water problems, but this apparently is with whole country during the summer.

Liked: Very nice hostel with a cool atmosphere and a nice bar with cheap beer. Dominica was really friendly and cute :o)

Liked: Comfortable beds, good breakfast, nice garden, helpful and accomodating staff.

Disliked: It was quite a walk from town and the bus station and down a bit of a dark back street. The toilets were a little unclean sometimes.

Liked: Good location! The outer space is nice and breakfast is filling.

Disliked: A hostel is not about the property it's located in - it's about providing a good quality (basic stuff) service. There was no water in the evening, the rooms were cold (although we're in Summer), there were many facilities lacking. I've been in a lot more modest hostel in which I felt much more confortable and cozy - it shouldn't be about the property!

Liked: Beautiful courtyard/garden area for chilling out, meeting other travelers, and having a beer. Friendly, helpful staff. And the coolest damn puppy in all of the Balkans.

Liked: The owner and staff are really helpful and informative. Breakfast was good. Met a few awesome people there. Decent location with lots of restaurants, cafes and mini markets. Definitely value for money. And they had a cute puppy and cat. ^_^

Disliked: A little difficult to find as it is some ways off the city centre, and on the opposite site of Blloku where the nightlife is. Many low ceilings threatening the unsuspecting tall traveler.

Liked: Lira was very helpful and friendly. When we got up late she had put our breakfast in the fridge so we didn't miss out (which was very yummy!) She also helped us with which bus to catch to get to the cemetery with the beautiful views of Tirana, and wrote things down for us to give to the bus driver. The best part of this hostel was the outside garden patio area and oriental lounge. The market is a very short walk away which was perfect for us as we cooked both nights we were there - also good kitchen facilities (but no oven).
