About SR Backpackers
Our hostel is a three bedroom flat, with bunk beds in each room. Al the rooms have a balcony with a sea view. There is a shared bathroom, and common area with a full kitchen. We offer free wifi as well as coffee and tea.
We are centrally located for all that Saranda has to offer. We have a beach across the street, and the nightly xhiro (the Albanian summer time stroll) begins at our doorstep. There are great restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores as wells as a farmers market located only a few minutes away. The central bus station is quick walk and the buses to visit Butrint leave just around the corner from the hostel.
Not sure what Saranda has to offer? Let us help you:
Visit Butrint World Heritage Site, buses leave every hour (from 7 to 6) and the bus stop is 50 meters from the hostel. Stop in Ksamil on the way back and take a swim or paddle boat ride to the islands.
Hike to the 40 Saints Monastery, from which Saranda gets its name
Hike to the Lekursi Castle, which is the best place in Albania to watch the sun set.
Interested in Learning more about Albania? Ask Tomi to teach you some Albanian or tell you about what life was like under the communist regime, all while he cooks you a traditional Albanian dinner.
Take in some cultural, listen to some live Albanian music and watch and maybe even partake in some traditional dancing.
Want to just stay in and enjoy the view from the balcony, ask Tomi about organizing a pizza night, ice cream night etc.
Looking for a place to work out, want to watch a football match, or go to a concert, just ask Tomi.
Albanians are known for their hospitality, but seeing is believing at SR Backpackers.
