Liked: The atmosphere is nice and quite different from other hostels. As it is an appartment with 3 rooms and a combined kitchen and living room, you are kind of never alone and a small space with other people, it makes a cozy atmosphere. The views from the balcony are in fact great, however: dont look down, cause you will see a lot of garbage. The kitchen is big and well equipped, its nice to enjoy your selfmade dinner later on the balcony. The owner is really friendly and easy-going.

Disliked: I was shocked at the day of arrival from the location/neighboorhoud. It is located in kind of the ghetto of Saranda. Its a really poor area with a lot of unfinished buildings and garbage EVERYWHERE. It is really not nice to walk around there. As this was my first impression of Saranda, I wanted to shorten my stay. However, take a walk to the center, there it is much more nice (the hostel is really just bad located). Unfortunately, the center is a bit far away. The owner of the hostel might emphasize the great view and nice beach in front of the hostel - there are much more nice beaches at the center and at Kismali Beach.

Liked: Free breakfast was great, the view over the beach is amazing and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Some blinds in the rooms would be good, as we woke up as soon as the sun rose!

Liked: nice modern unit with a good kitchen you can use. very laid back.

Disliked: even though it is a nice place it was filthy when we stayed there. we were asked to take our shoes off and my socks were black and full of grime within a couple of minuets of walking around. the bathroom look as though it had been used to wash dogs. it obviously hadn't been cleaned in weeks. although she was nice, it was a very lazy girl running it. i had to do most of the cleaning in the kitchen.

Liked: Beds were very steady...hostel is nice and small so very cosy, feels like a home. Great wholemeal pancackes.

Disliked: I couldnt get skype to work properly on teh PCs at the time of my stay, and the kitchen sink doesnt have hot water.

Liked: Pretty small so easy to make friends and get to know the others who are staying. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. And the pancakes every morning are a great idea!

Liked: Amazing location! You have ocean veiws from your dorm. Its great value for money, its not a typical hostel its a nice clean apartment.

Liked: An excellent hostel. the staff will make sure you have a great time and the view from the balcony is stunning. a great introduction to a compelling country if coming from corfu, or if going to corfu, a way of stopping you leave albania. even if the picnics have pebbles in, i could have stayed a month

Liked: Awesome ownership - she really went out of her way to make us feel at home! Drove us to the castle for beers, and organized a fish/mussel fry with a local, so that we could really experience Albania. The hostel is really cosy, and THE BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!
