Your Travel Guide to Rome

Guide for Rome

With its plethora of ancient ruins, palaces, monuments, art and sculptures, it’s not hard to guess why Rome is known as the Eternal City. Just take a stroll past some of the city’s most famous sights such as the Pantheon or the Colosseum, and you’ll see why the Ancients thought that Rome would never fall.

But make no mistake - there's more to Rome than just history. Visitors to this bustling metropolis can get in touch with their spiritual side at the Vatican, spend some serious cash trying to fit in with Italian's fashionistas, sit on Piazza Navona and enjoy a steaming plate of bucatini matriciana and an espresso, all while enjoying  “La Dolce Vita.”

Carry on browsing our Rome City Guide to find out about the Eternal City before you travel, including tips on the best hotels. Browse all our Hotels in Rome here to find one that suits your trip.

Customer Travel Tip: Spanish steps are just awesome at night, worth visiting. If you want to visit Vatican museum, and if you are a student and full of energy, I recommend not to buy advance tickets, because you will pay extra 4 euros per ticket, and staying in the queue takes no more than an hour, so I think you can wait there. We waited approximately 40-50 minutes in queue, and everything was excellent.

Liked: Rome is a fantastic city. Everybody is so friendly, and ready to help you anytime you need. Lots of attractions and, of course, beautiful girls :))

Disliked: Everything was great, I enjoyed every moment spent in Rome.

Customer Travel Tip: Visit everything you can! But if you have to choose between Ancient Roman stuff and Catholic stuff, choose the Ancient stuff. The Colosseum was my favorite!

Liked: The history of the city was incredible.

Disliked: The prices are outrageous. .
