Things to Do in Cardiff

Peacocks strut around the garden, gothic turrets rise from dramatically high walls. It may sound like a fairytale castle, but it’s right in the middle of the Welsh capital!

Given Cardiff’s changeable weather, it makes sense to shop under cover. Queens St Arcade is one of the largest and most popular, whilst the older, classic style of arcades can be found on St. Mary Street.

These once derelict docks have been transformed into a wonderful waterfront. Mermaid Quay in particular is quickly becoming a hotspot for shops, bars and restaurants.

Scattered over 100 acres, traditional houses and shops have been restored to working order here. You can buy from the bakery, cast clay pots, and see old steelworker’s cottages.

St. Mary Street’s bars and clubs have always been the destination for Welsh nightlife lovers. Now, however, Cardiff Bay is starting to rival this old favorite with its range of new clubs and bars.
