The Light Parade

At the end of April, there's a party with a difference in San Antonio. The Fiesta Flambeau Night Parade has grown larger and larger over the years and is now as much a part of life for locals as Christmas or Easter.
It’s America's largest illuminated night parade and contains over 50 floats, in addition to more than 40 bands and around 14 mounted groups. The spectacle is definitely something to behold and up to half a million people fill the streets to witness it each year.
The parade also includes a collection of clowns and Fiesta Royalty and crowds line the streets along the route to get a glimpse of the event. Beginning on Broadway, it winds its way through the streets of San Antonio before coming to rest outside the Alamo.
