Madrid's famous Veranos de la Villa (Summer in the City) festival is a cultural extravaganza. The event bursts into life during July and August, bringing together a host of top-notch theatrical and musical acts.
Performances take place throughout the city's streets, gardens and concert venues, featuring flamenco nights in the Sabatini Gardens near the Royal Palace and Spain's famous Zarzuelas (mini-musicals). Visitors can also expect many dance and music displays as they wander the city’s fascinating streets.
