Every year in June, dance fans pack up their glow sticks and passports and head to Barcelona in time for the Sonar Festival. Officially titled the International Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia, it’s one of the biggest events on the dance music scene, attracting a host of top DJs each time.
Although the festival really comes into its own at night with non-stop partying and revelry, there are also plenty of cultural activities taking place during the day - at least for those that fancy braving the hot Spanish sun. These events are held in the Center of Contemporary Culture and the Contemporary Art Museum and are designed to celebrate contemporary art and multimedia.
