Things to Do in Seoul

1. Tour the Palaces

This one may take you more than a day – but it’s worth the effort. The Joseun Dynasty erected five Grand Palaces during its rule. Gyeongbox-gung is the most prominent, closely followed by Changdoek-gung. Don’t miss the changing of the guards, reenacted three times each day in the forecourts.

This monster of a museum is the largest in Asia. A modern oblong fortress, it covers everything Korean from the past, to the present, and even into the future.

3. Namdaemun Market

The largest traditional street in Korea can be found in Seoul’s center. It offers a wonderful, old-fashioned collection of places to shop for food, trinkets and clothes.

4. Hof your Way to a Booking Club

So you want to go out tonight? Ok, here goes. Start your night in a ‘Hof’, where the soju should flow and be combined with as much hard liquor as possible. Then make your way to a ‘Booking Club’.
