Drums on a Music Stage
Cape Town Festival - South Africa
When: 25 February 2010 - 22 March 2010
The Cape Town Festival may be relatively new by global standards but ever since its beginnings in 1999 it has wasted no time in becoming a highlight of the African calendar. The event attracts some of the biggest names in music, performance, comedy, art and the spoken word.
It's actually made up by a series of minifestivals, such as the Night Vision Carnival, Company Gardens Festival and In Touch community project, and there are stages and open spaces featuring live acts throughout the city.
Whatever you're in to, you can be sure that the productions will feature some of the latest and greatest ideas by modern performers and artists. And, since nearly all the events are free, it really is a festival for everyone.
