Singapore’s Changi Airport is a major arrivals point for other destinations in Southeast Asia and is one of the most modern, efficient airports in the world. The city center is easily accessed via the excellent MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) which is cheap and takes a little under half an hour.
Singapore is also serviced by the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal where boats shuttle back and forth to Malaysia, and elsewhere in the region.
The Queen St. Bus Terminal (on the corner of Arab St. and Queen St.) provides bus links in and out of the city, as well as the terminals on Lavender St. and Golden Mile Complex. In addition to the buses, trains leave from Singapore to Malaysia several times a day.
The city itself is extensively mapped by the MRT and Bus services. Both use the same ticketing system known as EZ-Link, which works on a pre-paid and top-up basis although you should remember to touch in and out when entering and exiting buses.
