Things to Do in Porto

During the day, there's nothing better than wandering the winding streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. At night, meanwhile, the bars are cheap and full to bursting with hordes of students.

This main shopping street has any number of top shops. For a more traditional touch, stroll the side streets with their classic boutiques and long-established cafés.

…drink the Port! You can learn about the local fortified wine, and taste free samples by touring the wine caves across the river in Via da Gaia.

There’s just something about partying on the beach… Whilst this isn’t the best place for bathing, many venues in the area have spectacular ocean views and a lively atmosphere.

This famous gothic church is gorgeous. The interior’s glittering wood panels contrast with its dark cemetery, making it, like many other churches in the city, a genuine must-see.
