Flights to Warsaw land at the Frederic Chopin Airport in the suburb of Okecie. From there, Bus No. 175 shuttles you the 10km journey into the city center. For late arrivals, there’s also a convenient service that runs throughout the night.
Coach arrivals into Warsaw, meanwhile, come to Miedzynarodowa Dworzec PKS, which is connected to the city’s main train station, Warszawa Centralna, by any eastbound bus. Once at the Centralna, you’re in the heart of the modern center and alongside the Old Town.
Generally speaking, getting around Warsaw could hardly be easier: the bus and tram networks provide a cheap and easy way to cross the inner city. Tickets are purchased from RUCH kiosks or from automated machines.
Night buses offer a convenient service from midnight, and allow you to take advantage of the city after dark (although they do require two of the automated tickets). A punch-in system – like many other European cities – is always in operation and you should validate your ticket as you set off.
